i would gladly swap weather. I've forgotten what warm is like. This winter has just gone on and on and on. Stupid global warming
Come to Minneapolis, MN...One of America's most liberal AND liveable cities, and also the coldest major city in the nation. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkOa0BLzZGg
I know, right!! It is not "ED-IN-AH", it is "E-DINE-A" They're obviously not from Minnesota. Reminds me of the time I was in the basement because of a tornado warning, and the weather service announcer literally stumbled over "Mahtomedi"...He paused. Then slowly says "Mah-toe-meh-de" not "Mah-toe-me-die". We laughed so hard!!!
Pfft. Watching pronounce Wayzata is pretty terrible too. More importantly though, why were you in the basement for a tornado warning? You're supposed to go outside and watch I thought
Drifting away from the thread topic a bit but still... My thoughts exactly..I'd be outside watching..maybe even video taping the thing..lol -------- As far as somewhere that is nice and cold..further north the better of course..so yes..most places in canada..very few in the US..
Well, I was younger, and not at my house.. At a friend's house so her grandparents had us get downstairs.. Normally I do enjoy watching storms. I remember one time at a party in Northfield, a huge storm came in. We were outside barbequeing and playing bocce ball. The storm got so bad we had to go inside and were watching it from the porch when one of the windows blew in! ---------- Back to the subject, I think Thunder Bay, ON is supposed to be pretty nice..
I would probably say the Northern Territories: Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut or the far East provinces: Nova Scotia, Newfound land and Labrador, PEI, New Brunswick? BC is cold in the winter but generally pretty warm in the summer in many parts.
The maritimes are mixed, some summers can be warm and some can be quite cool. Last summer was one of the coldest and wettest that I can recall.
Umm... This might be the first time my city ever came in first in a "places you want to move to for the weather" poll! Current temperature: -11C Average high temp on this day: -8C Average low temp on this day: -19C If this isn't cold enough for you, then you should see a doctor immediately. And if it is, then you should see a psychiatrist!!
Don't go to Vancouver--they're busy having the Spring Olympics there. Having the Winter Olympics in Vancouver is somewhat akin to having the Summer Olympics in, well, somewhere in Antarctica. But here's somewhere that sounds good for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geography_and_climate_of_Winnipeg We also call it Winterpeg, Manisnowba.
I love you guys too! If you read somewhere into the middle of that article, it says that Edmonton is actually slightly colder than Winnipeg. Ah, sweet vindication! I'd say it's cool to be gay in Winnipeg, but the truth is it's cold to be gay here!
At least you can have the Winter Olympics. Minnesota (aka MinneSNOWta) would be perfect. If we weren't in the midwest. All we really have is Lutsen and anyone from anyplace with mountains would laugh themselves silly if they saw what we enjoy skiing on.
Don't feel bad: the Torontonians think their lake is a big deal and that they have mountains, too. *bwahahahahaha* MOUNTAINS! Is that what you call those gently rolling hills?! If it weren't for the Canadian Shield, this place would be TERMINALLY flat!
 ...mhm.... The snow on Cypress Mountain is melting faster than they can transport it to the venues.
