I tend to categorize my daily crushes between these two catagories, which got me thinking:

What do you find yourself attracted more to? Cute or hot?

Where:

Cute: An "innocent" and kind sort of personality. Someone you want to show to your mother.
Hot: Go directly to bed with this person. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
Handsome: I think of a very mature sort of appearance / personality.
Ugly: You like charity cases.

If you haven't noticed this poll is meant in a light-hearted manner.

Partly to break the pattern, and partly to be truthful, I am for hot guys all the way. I squeal when I see an adorable guy but hot guys are the ones that really... excite me ^ ^

From a purely objective standpoint, more of my crushes are on hot guys than cute guys. That said, I tend to dwell on my crushes on handsome guys longer than my crushes on hot guys. (Going by your definitions, I don't really fall for cute guys.) I guess that would imply that my crushes on handsome guys mean more to me.

Same here. I get incredibly self conscious about my self perceived inadequacies around hot people as well.

well i really do like looking at hot people but im more all about being attracted to the cuter ones. for me someones personality is the key ingredient to anything. i love someone that can keep me interested and talking.

I think that cute is more a persona or result from specific displays of body language, character and personality; where as hot is something based soley on a physical sexual attraction.

I picked handsome, because I think it's something that kind of mixes it all up a bit.

Erm, why isn't BOTH an option? I like guys who are cute, but at the same time very hunky and manly.

Excessive hotness in guys put me off at times. It's like yeah, maybe I'd love to go to bed with them, but I'd rarely feel any love-hormone rushing through my system. Frankly speaking, rarely did I have crushes on guys with no cuteness or a lovable face.

Excessive cuteness too can turn me off. 'Too cute' face, when it turns into a feminine one, can be quite a turn-off. Moreover, a face with no sex appeal may resemble that of a child, which is definitely not my thing. However, a cute face can make your heart go mmm... I, for one, feel like planting a kiss on their cheeks if they happen to too cute.

The best is a mixture of both. Someone really cute and adorable, and at the same time, very hunky, manly and irrestible. D'uh, those guys make my day.

Handsome? Hmm, okay, go: cute, hot, handsome, hunky, sexy all in one package.
