    I must admit that I'm a little surprised that gay marriage would be made legal in such a conservative place as the American Midwest...

    But nevertheless, it's still wonderful news and a good advancement for the gay community. (!) :eusa_danc (!)

    Hopefully, more places will follow in the not-so-distant future.

    Well, I think that Uruguay is close to legalizing gay marriage. That doesn't mean that it isn't a very homophobic place though.

    Yay thats SO cool! I hope one day it'll be michigan. when i'm a good age to marry in ten years and i have found a potential wife i hope i am able to actually marry her! (!) :eusa_danc

    of course it'd be way better if all the states allowed it... and even all the other countries.

    Go Iowa!! Half of my family's from there, and they say that everyone's super nice, so yay for them!! Also, Iowa's a Midwest swing state, so it makes more sense that Iowa might be next to legalize gay marriage than, say, Kansas or Nebraska. Let's just hope that Iowa's Supreme Court agrees with this district.
