One type is kinda hard to explain without pictures [pictures that I don't have] so I'll explain an easier one.
You get six strings [embroidary thread I think its called? You can get it at crafts stores.] , one of each color in the rainbow. Tie a knot at the top, put a bead or something to hook through a loop that'll be made at the end to keep it on. Starting with the red string, tie a knot around the other five strings. Do this around ten times. The knots should make this swirly line going around the strings. After ten knots, move on to the next color. Once the bracelet is long enough, make a loop at the end the size of the bead so you can keep it on. It should look like this as its going along: imagesCAVRCIGP.jpg
The picture is kind of small but its the best that I could find. Save it to your computer and zoom in on it if you need to.
    Good luck!

Np! They're really easy to make, and quick. I've made like three today, one for each of my gay friends/straight friends that are endlessly supportive of gay rights. There are other kinds that you can make with nine strings but those take alot more time and effort. These are cute though. ^_^
