thats incredible! think of the possibilities according to what I read, exposing the salt water to radiation cuases it to burn as long as it is in contact with the radiation
I guess im at a loss. I dont really see the significance. Unless you are trying to distroy water on a massive scale to speed up global warming.
No, not burn water to speed up global warming. Burn water for fuel. It's a remarkable discovery. I hope they take it further. Here's a video: http://www.glumbert.com/media/saltwater
Burning = heat. Heat + Water = evaporation. Rapidly rising vapour + turbine blades = rotation. Turbines + rotation = electrical energy.
I'm super excited! But with two questions: is this radiation at all dangerous? and why aren't we spending more time trying to make wind and solar power more efficient and economically viable? Excellent breakthrough though, and it'd be great if this turned out to be a good cheap and accessible alternative fuel.
Wow another possibility for a better world and fuel alternative. they should find some mysterious reason why it doesn't work well enough in a few months. the world just wants to be rich so of course having too many alternatives to actual fuel is a "bad" thing. in a world where oil is a major money maker, they don't care if they destroy the world in the process just as long as the worlds rich.
appearantly the radiation is the same as that used in cancer treatments I'm not sure about the solar and wind power...
