This probably only applies to people with some degree of bisexuality to their orientation (the Kinsey 1-5s), but it's something I've noticed about myself and wondered if it was common. I normally prefer guys, but not only do I find some women attractive, there're a few who actively make me start looking at a lot of other women sexually. Who essentially modify my sexual orientation and make me more into women. And there's some men who do the opposite. It's not always, and there are certain women I always find attractive who don't affect my feelings towards other women. Anyone else notice something similar?

I'll get it very rarely.

I am not 100% gay, it's just easier to say I am than to go into a lengthy explanation.

Me too

But this has been happening to me a lot. While I feel like I'm a kinsey 5.5, when I talk about guys with my friends they automatically think "oh my she must be 'changing'" and then talk about how I should go out with him (even though I in no way feel like I can have a deep sexual relationship with boys)

I fluctuate wildly. Every once in a while I'll see a guy that just gets me staring and I can feel my Kinsey number gain a couple points.

Alternatively, there's always Natalie Portman who has the opposite effect.

I notice guys sometimes too, but I've never thought that made me less gay.

I'm 100% lesbian. Attractive guys affect me like a beautiful painting; I can appreciate their looks, however, nothing about said looks makes me want to date or make mad passionate love to them.

I stay pretty much at a three level. I consider my orientation to be something longer that just a day to day phenomenon. Just as you may feel attracted to tons of men in one day, you may find a day when you are not attracted to any. Does that make you gay one day and asexual the next? No. Not at all.

This is the same way for me. Some days I see more attractive (physically and mentally) women, some days more men and on a lucky occasion, androgynous people. I don't think that changes my orientation, it just changes the circumstances in which I experience that orientation. So I think everyone needs to reevaluate what exactly they consider their orientation to be.

Am I making any sense?

i sorta get this.. i can tell when a girl is like, really hot just cause they seem to stand out, but the only feeling i might get is jealousy thinking about all the guys that will stare at her that wouldn't notice me

on a similar note, i can't tell when a girl is just pretty or just average in looks, they have to be like supermodel status for me to notice a difference, like, i've talked with guys about my girl friends before and a lot of them ask "is she hot" or whatever, and at that point i just draw a complete blank. (and here's where i kidnap the thread) do any of you other 6's get that?
