I know there's a few other Scots roaming these boards, anybody else going to Glasgow Pride this Saturday? It's my first Pride so I don't really know what to expect.. my band was actually supposed to be playing the youth event they're having, but we had to pull out because of our bloody bass player never showing up to practise but anyway.... There will be pictures.

Normally I wouldn't ever consider going to a pride event as I'm still kinda closeted, I'd find the whole thing quite overwhelming, but I am going to be meeting my boyfriend in Glasgow anyway, seems like a good opportunity to see what its like

Too early for me, for obvious reasons. Maybe next year.

it wasn't that brilliant all in all. I slept in and missed my train through so I missed the parade bit which was a shame. The stuff in George Square was okay, but nothing enormously special. In the end me and my friends just went off to the pub.

woke up with a large Amnesty International 'Protect the Human' sign in my bedroom, so I'm guessing the pub was a fairly successful idea :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
