MICHAEL JACKSON <3 seriously. His music inspires me. Lots of his clothing appeals to me , and even from a dancers point of view, he's a huge inspiration.
I personally don't look up to anybody, but I'm inspired by many people that range from celebrity to relatives.
Anyone over sixty-five inches in height. People who I strive to emulate? My highschool technical theatre director, my grandfather on my mother's side, my former swim coach and a fellow named Marc Rowland who does some of the most amazing improv I've ever witnessed. Those are just a few that came to mind immediately. I can think of many more. Odd that I don't really have any females role models. Makes me feel ashamed that I call myself a feminist.
Of course not. But still... The majority of my role models are men. There isn't so much as a peppering of women. You can see how that might feel a twinge hypocritical.
I would say my Uncle even though he's no longer with us. He was so damn cool, he did what he wanted when he wanted even when he was really ill. He may have only lived 47 short years, but he did more in those years than a lot of people do in their lifetimes. What a legend! R.I.P Ronnie xx
I look up to civil rights leaders, mostly. The ones that sacrificed their lives for the greater good of mankind. I admire their courage and dedication to making the world a better place. May they rest in peace.
Not really. This was my first thought, as well, to be honest. But after mulling over this question for a while, I can safely say that one of the people I admire most is my close friend J. It's impossible for me to pinpoint why, exactly; there's just something about her that I find so profound, wise and nonjudgemental, yet relatable, humble and endearing at the same time. Sometimes I wish I could be a lot more like her, but if I'm not sure if something like that can be learned. That's really the only one that comes to mind, at least among people that I know personally.
I look up to my grandfather, who just passed away recently in September of 09. He was the most caring, honest, loyal and trustworthy person I've ever known.
I look up to Andy 6 very much. He's not afraid to embrace his dreams. He's an incredibly talented singer/song writer, and he doesn't believe in stereotypes - he just believes in being yourself. He has never judged anyone and he is a very funny, kind person. And he's SEXY~. I want to be like him. I honestly haven't found a single thing wrong with him, he's like PERFECT O-O
Although I haven't seen this friend of mine in a while, I can say he's been my role model for as long as I've known him. He's unfailingly kind and compassionate to everyone, something that I suck at. I really respect that and strive to be more like him. Also: he's three years older than me. If that matters.
The band paramore. I think they're amazing. Also, my sisters ex-boyfriend. He's pretty open minded and non-judgmental.
