Have you ever had dreams that were so intense you woke up with tears in your eyes or even after waking up you continued to cry because it got to you so much? If so, what happened? I have difficulty remembering my dreams, but I think it had to do with like...two of my best friends saying that they were abandoning me and then some weird dream about a plane crashing into my house and life just getting haywire, like the country went into martial law because of it and my parents and I were on the run for some reason...

One of my best friends died in real life by getting hit by a car. In my dream I am there and I almost get to him to pull him out of the way but I am always too late. and I always blame myself for his death. I always wake up crying form that one.

Intense dreams are intense. =/

Location: Bolivar, Ohio (From NY though) Age: 21 Posts: 7,672 Join Date: Dec 2008 | I once had this really intense and insanely real feeling dream about the end of the world. It involved me surviving out on a boat in the middle of the ocean while the mainland got nuked to shit, and when I rowed back, most people had turned into zombies that could talk and they fought tigers that escaped from the zoo. In the end I died after letting one of the zombies (who were my non existant brothers, because I was not me in the dream) just eat me because I couldn't care to live anymore. Yeah. My dreams are fucked up.

And then I realize it was just a dream. I do have to wonder though, after seeing Inception (This can NOT transfer into an Inception thread please), if you die in your dream...do you wake up or do you indeed die. I don't recall if it's been proven... Again though, I don't want everyone sidetracking to that...this is about intense dreams. It was more just something I've been wondering...

| To be honest, I don't like dogs. Regular Member ![]() Gender: Male Orientation: Homosexual Out Status: I typically don't get to choose. Location: USA Age: 23 Posts: 264 Join Date: Aug 2010 | I guess I don't really cry when I wake up, but there are some dreams that leave me feeling completely distraught. Most of these dreams have to do with me dying. It kinda sucks, and sometimes I die in the most abstract ways. Like one time I had a dream that I was in some tall building with a bunch of other people, and there was a small but super high power bomb on the ground so I jumped on it and covered it with my body to save everyone else. I just remember like feeling the explosion and then everything started to go monochrome. I also tend to have crazy dreams of psycho killers stabbing. I get those a lot for some reason :/ lol. Other dreams I really don't like is my mom or close friends finding out I'm gay and making fun of me and leaving me. Also another weird dream I had was that everyone in the world smoked except me, and they were all pressuring me to smoke... It was kind of a weird dream... I don't really know why I had it. Oh yeah! One more; sometimes I dream about guys I kinda like and that we're going out. I guess when I wake up from these dreams I just think about ways I could have expressed that I liked them but didn't and then regret it kinda. lol xD I'm kinda weird. |

(then ironically me coming out brought him and i closer) within i think the last year i had a dream where i told my mom i hated her, and it was over something stupid. in my dream she cried so much after i told her that, and in real life seeing my mom upset makes me upset i cried after both dreams. i feel like i've had more dreams like that though. i've also had dreams where i'm getting hurt and the pain feels so real |

I ended up going through the guardrail and flew off the bridge. I hit the water and right when the car started to sink, I woke up with a bad feeling in my gut.

My dreams are never intense, never realistic. They mostly involve me being at school, or having something to do with a video game format. (Driving is always third person GTA style, and I always crash and get a "Wasted" message.)

I used to have a reccuring dream about a zombie appocalypse, but the zombies were friendly and didn't want to kill people. The living people, Mario and David Caruso just killed them all anyway. When I was a kid, I had this freaky dream where I saw these ghostlike shadows walking past my doorway, always in the same direction. That was when I was like 5 and along with some other things, caused me to be afraid of the dark pretty much until I was 10. |

And Jyu...it'll happen one day, maybe not now, but stress is generally something that brings it on and when you get later in life with a profession or w/e, stress comes. Unless you're just a relaxed kid, then...lucky you.

| Guest Posts: n/a | The most intense dream, in the sense that it woke me up with a fright, was a dream about me riding a bus and looking out the window. And in the night sky, flying saucers slowly started appearing. And they looked like those ye-olde flying saucers from 80s movies. I woke up screaming and my father laughed at me for being scared of flying saucers. |

I've also had plenty of lucid dreams, one of which I got really angry at the "villain" in my dream and ended up killing him, aware I was dreaming and summoning up the power to destroy him. It was more cool than anything. I've only had a few dreams in which I woke up crying. . . |

Most of my dreams involves me running from something, i rarely know what, but just running away from something. Also, a regular theme is my teeth falling out, which is odd ![]() Also, i had a dream where someone talked to me in spanish, which was odd. It was correct spanish and fluent, so clearly my unconscious is good at spanish!

I can dream something really lame and be terrified, or something that would make me cower in fear in real life I will take in my stride in a dream, it all depends if that sense or feeling of 'dread' is there. I remember one time I dreamed I jumped and floated very slowly down my stairs, when I reached the bottom I went into my living room and everything was dark except for a white light hovering over my TV. Nothing particularly terrifying, but it had the most intense feeling of dread ive ever experienced in a dream, like almost a sound giving off vibrations. Also, to the dreamer who dreamed in Spanish - I have dreamed thing similar where I am reading a book and the words all make sense and have a great story even though I'm making them up myself lol, but the amazing thing is I can read for a long time in my dream and the words come without hesitation, how difficult would that be in real life?

| EC's realist Full Member ![]() Gender: Male Orientation: Gay Out Status: Out to everyone Location: Orlando Posts: 6,480 Join Date: Apr 2009 | I've had scary dreams where I couldn't go back to sleep. I had one where I was in bed and heard my cat scooping in his litter box, this went on for a long time, so I rolled over and yelled for him to stop. Only, he was sleeping at the foot of the bed. So, I got up and went into the bathroom (where his litter box is) and saw litter all over the floor with little footprints in them. Then a crash came from the kitchen, so I went out there and looked in the pantry, something ran up behind me and roared and I woke up. It was 3:00am and I didn't sleep the rest of the night.
