Ghosts/Paranormal Stuff

Out of boredom and curiosity when i was in Georgia, I watched some shows about ghosts that my cousin had on his TiVo.

*in case you were wondering, the shows were Celebrity Ghost Stories, My Ghost Story, and Fact or Faked.

I'm not sure if I am a believer. I wont lie though, some of the stuff on the shows freaked me out xD

So, are you a believer? Ever had any experiences with the paranormal?

Either way, I'd rather not explain my personal experiences and why I believe because I know some people here love to scrutinize everyone else's life for really silly reasons.

That's pretty similar to what I said in the original thread too. But yeah. Something is obviously there. Same with UFOs, even before humans achieved Flight, there were sightings for hundreds of years.

I used to be really into paranormal stuff when I was younger. Spent a lot of my time on those types of websites >_>

I'm open minded to the possibility.

I've seen nothing to convince me, but i do believe there is every chance they exist.

If we are on to paranormal stuff in general, then i am 100% sure Aliens do exist. The universe is supposedly infinite, so the only conclusion can be that there are aliens out there, however it seems unlikely to be that they have visited us, i think there would be more conclusive evidence if they had.

I've had some pretty weird shit happen.

I know the place I used to live in was haunted, we would hear children playing down stairs.

Though I never seen anything I've heard things had things happen that make be believe in pissed off spirits

I've had too many paranormal experiences of various types to NOT believe in ghosts, spirits, and the separation between the spirit (soul) and the body of the person.

That said, there are an awful lot of fakers, and most of the people that conduct seances and so forth are just frauds looking for money. Ditto most of the people that do readings with non-incarnate people. But there are a handful that have been tested repeatedly in isolated settings and are 90%+ accurate.

There's a lot we don't know about how the world works, so I get annoyed when people categorically say it's impossible. I don't know how everything works, but I know enough to say that it makes sense to be open to the possibility.

I've been to Hornet, MO many times to look for the Hornet Spooklight and spotted it once for sure. My friends and I ghost hunt when we can.

Also, I have a friend that lost some time back when he was a kid. He said he looked up to the sky, saw a black triangle with the corners cut off fly over and then went home. When he got home it was three hours later and his sister was going crazy looking for him.

That said, I think there may be a scientific if not spiritual explanation for the paranormal.

Absolutely. I believe that my house (well, my mom's house, not sure about my dad's) is haunted. There are really weird things that happen in my house...

I definitely believe, but I'm also very skeptical of reports without much evidence or witnesses. Most of the reasons I believe are from personal experiences I've had(and believe me, I have tried to reason them to be natural somehow), which I believe is the main case for most people. There's no need to force people to believe; sometimes it's just a matter of time before they do.

I also used to spend a ton of time watching videos, looking online, and reading all about the a paranormal(some of which is just silly), and I still do from time to time.

This. Stuff happens that I can't explain in any other way, but I'm not going to go into it because I know people will automatically think of me as an idiot for it.

I personally don't believe in the paranormal. I don't blame people for believing in them though. I just prefer to believe in something concrete as evidence for what happens in the dark. Something about things people don't understand makes people either have a serious respect or fear of said things.

It's more likely for extraterrestrials to exist than beings based on ectoplasma.

One reason I don't believe in them is because of the laws of matter. What are they made of? If they do exist, they must have mass and how much of it? Stuff like that.

I'm a very, very strong believer. Joey said he used to spend a lot of time looking up paranormal things, yeah, that's me now.

I've had multiple experinces with many different things, as has my family. My mom doesn't believe though.

I have no idea. I don't really "believe" on it, but whenever I talk about it or read aobut it, like this thread, then I get creeped out xDD

I did have one experience that I haven't been able to explain, but I rather not believe in it xD

pretty much. "ghosts" or "spirits" may exist, and we may just not have the technology or senses to interact with them, the same thing happened with electricity, and the solar system. at one time, they didnt exist, and then we found a way to measure them and we found out they were real.

and the aliens part, i think i've said that verbatim

How can you say it seems unlikely that they have visited? They've been here for ages...just look at some of the Members of Congress...no way some of those people can be from this planet
