Reasons to like winter?

Well in England I feel like the summer has pretty much ended and I am currently in mourning so I tried to think of some reasons why winter isn't so bad, and all I could come up with was the weather gives you an excuse to stay in, be lazy and put on a little 'holiday weight' and not be judged because of it.

So, please, feel free to post your own reasons why you like winter

Oh man I loooove winter.

-There are no storms. Like Thunder , tornadoes, etc...
-Christmas is in winter.
-You can piss in the snow and make funny shapes.
-Being inside feels so much better after you've been in the cold.
-Snow falling is a beautiful thing. To me at least.
-Winter break.

You get to wear cute sweaters, cardigans, jackets, coats, boots.

I live in Georgia, Southern U.S.A. We RARELY get any snow, and when we do, it only sprinkles. This year though, we got the most snow since I've been alive. It only lasted for like an hour.

Winter's different down here. No blizzards, shoveling, taking snow off your car, etc.

I like to take people's reindeer and rearrange them to make them look like they're performing the act of sexual intercourse

I put the front legs of one reindeer on the back of the shoulders of the other reindeer. I know, mature right? lol.

I love winter and I can't wait until it's -40.

They call me crazy... Nuts they tell me! But for some reason I just love winter. Snow is fun, there are no mosquitoes, it isn't too hot, if you stick a bucket of water outside and let it freeze you can then use it to keep your fridge cold. When it melts, just stick it back outside. You can save a whole bunch of money on your electric bill.

I also get some satisfaction when I see people freezing their asses off. I'm talking about people that don't dress properly for the cold. Meanwhile I could go for hours being toasty warm in my parka.

The dryer air also makes for better stargazing... Hmmm what else make winter awesome?! Strap on some skates and shoot the puck around with some friends. You don't have to mow the lawn (shovelling snow sort of cancels this out though).

personally i hate winter, bring on summer . you could come down to the southern hemisphere so get away from winter?

I like turning the heat way down. Then going to sleep under a foot of covers.

After this nasty heat Winter will be a nice welcome. Also yay I get to wear my hoodies (ok, I wear them in Summer too, but at least in Winter people don't look at me like I'm psychotic).

You can actually sleep comfortably under a pile of quilts rather than tossing and turning all night because it's too hot to sleep properly.

Plus, for me, I get to wear my fingerless gloves. It just looks stupid if I wear them during the summer.
