My girlfriend and I are going to a Halloween dance, and we're trying to come up with some funny/original ideas for costumes. I suggested a play on the old plug-and-socket gag, only we'd both be sockets, but I don't think she was as amused by the idea as I was! She suggested we both dress up as scissors (so we could be the Scissor Sisters, geddit...

) but I'm a bit hesitant about that one, in case any of my colleagues or students happened to see me. Ha.

Anyway, I thought I'd start this thread for people to come up with good ideas for same-sex couples' Halloween costumes. Obviously, I'm looking for ideas for two women, but I thought I'd open up the thread for guy couples too, so feel free to share any ideas!

^ Its funny that you thought of the both being sockets thing. I always thought it'd be funny of a gay guy couple to go as a plug and socket and the one being the socket wear the costume backwards.

But no really...I got tons of compliments on my grape costume...so you both can go as green and red grapes...or you can go as bananas/apples whatever..just throwing a suggestion out there.
