So for my homework in English a week or two ago was that we had to post responses in our English class's website's online forum. It was a total of six questions that we had to respond to and one of them had to do with gay marriage. So obviously being the nosy person I am I looked at what other people thought of the subject. Majority of them were actually really good and thoughtful responses like this one which made me super happy because he quoted my deceased husband Dumbledore:

    But others...*sigh*...:

Now my two absolute favorites and that will go down as two phrases that will go down in my personal history book are:

Now there were more that were like more opinionated and backed up properly so I didn't post them because there were the generic one man one woman junk and they didn't deserve our attention. Has anybody else found ridiculous arguments against gay marriage that go beyond the generic, overused ones?

The one that pisses me off the most is people who are afraid the the GLBT community will start to recruit 'Straight People' if we get the right to marry whom we please regardless of gender.
Seriously these people are so ignorant. Obviously is a 'straight person' is dating someone in the GLBT community they are most likely questioning their own sexuality and the person that they arre dating isn't recruiting them.
And if I got a penny for every time I heard God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve I would be a millionaire, no joke. It was said in my high school government class at least twice in the period. It was kind of ridiculous.

"I'm not homophobic, I have friends who are gay, but I'm against same-sex marriage because it's not normal."

"God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." - You're not witty or original. STFU.

"It's so gross." - I think mayonnaise is repulsive, but I'm not trying to outlaw it.

"The Bible says it's bad." - The Bible also says that pork is unclean and mixing milk and meat is wrong. I don't see you trying to outlaw bacon cheeseburgers.

My Father: "The Homosexuals can do what ever they want, but I shouldnt be forced to live with it by allowing them to get married"

I was this close to slapping him.

My Mother: "I understand why women could want to marry each other. It is all about emotions in that case. Guys on the other hand only think about sex. Love has nothing to do with those relationships."

    Grrrr

In my history class we were talking about issues the US faces today. I said homophobia/gay marriage bans/Don't Ask Don't Tell. My favorite responses... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

"What, are you like a lesbian or something???"
"But... what's wrong with Don't Ask Don't Tell?"
"I'm not homophobic, I just don't like faggots."
"I support gay rights... No homo though."

    Dontcha just love people?

I don't understand how that's allowed in schools. That certainly wouldn't fly at my HS.
