Default US members remember to vote today

Those of you who live in the US and are of legal age don’t forget that today is Election Day.

I went in early this morning, and was a bit surprised to see a lack of people voting. However, I saw on the registry how many people were marked "Mail-IN Ballot" and "Voted Early", so I guess that cancels that out.

Yay! I'm excited for my first voting experience!

Although it is simply because I am sick of all the commercials and junk mail telling me what to think...

I voted by absentee ballot. There was only one part of the ballot I felt strongly enough to vote on, but I felt strongly enough that I wanted to make sure my voice was heard, even while away at college.

Just got back..from voting for the ENTIRE DFL ticket! I've done my part to bring marriage equality to Minnesota and keep Tom "The Clown" Emmer out of the governor's mansion

We also had 2 judges facing GOP challengers (even though it is "non-partisan"). You can bet I made sure I knew the names and party affiliation of all of the judges before going in, since they don't list them on the ballot.

I didn't really like any of the candidates either, so I voted for the ones I disliked the least and for the ones that I think will screw things up the least.

We're voting for 1/3 of the Senate, all of the House of Representatives, and assorted state, county and local offices, and ballot questions. Or we're voting for or against Obama. Or we're having a referendum on the policies of the New Deal and if it should be repealed or not (which is the stance of the Tea Party movement, according to my history professor).

Yeah I just can't do that. I'm a stubborn ass for these types of things.

I voted early this morning before, around 7:15am before reporting to work for my shift that started at 7:45am. Fortunately, the voting place was on my way to work anyway, and I knew I wouldn't have the energy to vote after working my nine hour shift. Voted Democrat, since the Democratic nominees were far more gay-friendly. I'm tired as hell after my long day, but glad I got out and voted.

I voted by absentee ballot a couple weeks ago. None of the candidates I voted for in the 3 main races are likely to win, unfortunately. The most important votes were "Yes", "Yes", and "Yes" on the three ISC justices up for retention. It's probably going to be a long, nervous night keeping up with their fate.

Stood in line for an hour. Took me 2 seconds to vote. Never voted straight party R before (yes...I do vote for Democrats from time to time...mainly for offices they can't do any real harm in...like the Water Board) but I did today.

I voted twice. :-)

If a person looks at my ballot I think it would give them pause. I voted for a mixture of Democratic, Libertarian, and Republican candidates.

I know seven people who did the same. Three are registered Democrats.
