Ok, so what if calories are the most important part of losing weight? Just because the nutritional value of food doesn't affect weight it affects many other things. He's setting a bad example - shame on him. Even if junk food doesn't cause people to become overweight if you eat it in moderate amounts, having your whole diet consist of - saturated fats raises cholesterol. Sugar rushes from processed flour and processed sugar leads to insulin being released into the blood. Over a long period of time your body becomes immune to insulin and you get (type 2?) diabetes. (at least this is how i understand it to work) If you really eat only junk food your body will become deficient in many nutrients you need, and you will feel like crap. Diet the old fashion way of eating healthy and moderate the amount of food you intake while exercising.
