Kind of a broad question, but I think it's like any other belief system; it has the potential to be valid to some and not so much to others.

It's not one of Frank Sinatra's best numbers, but he does it quite well.

Argument is "it's not real cause it's not"

Sorry, i have a problem with that kind of circular logic

    Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don't have an opinion on witchcraft really. So I guess that means I should just use my general philosophy on life with this subject. Which is: If it works for you and you aren't out eating children, puppies, or anything else that's cute, then by all means do it.

Wicca isn't really a fad, you'd be surprised at how many people are in there 40's and 50's and are very devoted Wiccans.
I know this because my mom is Wiccan. XD
And she's not one of those people who smells like incense and looks like Professor Trelawney, she's into the more Pagan side of it.
I don't really believe in it, but to each their own. I mean, is casting spells and believing in an earth Goddess any less plausible than a woman being created out of a man's rib, and that woman being convinced by a talking snake to eat an apple from a magical tree?

I think your misunderstanding what I'm saying. I know many people ARE actually wiccan, but I'm refenceing the many kids who claim they're wiccan because they like to watch Charmed or Buffy and think its cool, ergo "fad" for them.

My boyfriend's Wiccan so I think it could possibly be real. He definitely cast a spell on me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: (I know how corny that is :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

I'm not trying to argue about whether or not it is real. That particular video was in reference to trying to explain to certain fundamentalists that witchcraft is nothing to fear since it is not real.

The reasoning behind my claim that witchcraft does not work is a matter of science. If you can find me a Wiccan who is willing to cast spells under specific conditions and the spells work, I'll rethink my opinion of it. Otherwise, it goes in the nonsense sack with all the other religions, alternative medicines and conspiracy theories.

    *raises hand* Pagan here.

I believe that witchcraft is real, but not in the bubble, bubble, toil and trouble harry potter-charmed-sabrina the teenage witch-willow from buffy kind of way.

I believe in witchcraft in the casing a spell for luck, protection, that sort of thing. If it doesn't come true, that means that the Gods have other plans for me. I don't agree with those wiccans who shove their beliefs down other peoples throats, and I think that people of other religions or whatever who try to harass the pagan/witch community for their beliefs is also wrong.
