Yes they are. Here in Washington they were officially banned on Nov. 18th. They were banned here because like 9 students from Central Washington University drank them and got really drunk. The cops busted the party and when they found the freshman they thought they had been drugged because they were so gone. Come to find out a few weeks later that it was from four lokos. Their BAC ranged from .18 to .35 or something like that. My college has also had problems with kids drinking them not knowing how effed up you get from them. personally i could care less because they are disgusting and I would much rather buy a cheap fifth.

I think it's stupid to ban things like drinks just because some people are too dumb to figure out how much they can drink before getting utterly wasted...
