Once you're out of high school, you'd probably look kind of silly, at least to some people. But I'm of the opinion that everyone should listen/wear/feel however the hell they want, so I say it's never too old to be emo if that's what you're into.

Emo as in the clothes or emo as in the mentality?

Either way, I agree with Comrade Maverick, wear what you like and dont suppress your feelings. Its the best way to live your live.

Emo as in the style. I am not going to slice myself up or be on a grump, well not strictly emo more like scemo (scene +emo) type thing.

If you're asking if you're too old to be emo, you're "too old" to be emo.
Of course you can dress yourself in any way you want to, but personally, I think you should only wear what you like.

There is no age limit. As long as there is freedom of expression, you can dress however you want to. If people don't like it, it's their problem.

Once you're old enough to understand what GQ or Vogue are saying. I know two students who dress in the scene/emo style. I have yet to meet anyone who takes either seriously, including myself. After middle school to ninth grade, I would say the emo scene is a bit dead.

If you care that you think you're too old for it, than you're too old for it. I've never actively dressed "emo" but people still call me it. Maybe I do, maybe I don't either way I could care less.

You never said you knew English either. But I am assuming you don't from this post.

    Oooh, I am just kidding.

Personally, I don't think there is an age limit. Dress how you want. But, if you want to actually get jobs and stuff and you're over 18, you probably don't want to show up looking scene.

By the way, emo is the music genre, scene is the style.

That is the most useful bit of info I have had.

and going for jobs I would not dress up or put make up on and look *sigh* 'normal'

I'd say once you're in your early or mid-twenties, if you'd like to stay "emo", so to speak, I'd take on more of a goth role, or at least go by that. I know two guys who are 40 and 41 who are what you'd probably consider "goth". One doesn't always dress that way though (only at goth clubs), and the other one is a coke-head with no teeth.

Whatever you feel comfortable doing, do it. Don't let anyone tell you how to act. If you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else, fuck whoever has a problem with it.
