The Holiday/Christmas session Is a time of cheer and joy for Kids and people who have not grown up, For the rest Its a nightmare with rigging up lights that don't work, over indulging, month of bills after and forced Cheeriness.
So what annoys you about Christmas and the New Year?
    Mine are:
-New years Day: the most boring day of the year were people recover from the night before and you wish you were back at school, college or work as at lest you do something.
-Forced Happiness: I hate being forced to be happy, I am happy WHEN I AM HAPPY not when you say I should.
-Christmas lights: Were you put up enough tasteless lights in your garden and on your house to light up a Black hole normally when it is freezing cold.
-Choosing the Bloody Tree: Were you have to decide were to have a real tree that sheds leafs over your floor and presents or a Fake tree that looks horrible and glows bright then the sun and then halfway throw brakes down because it needs the light bulb replacing.
-Taking down the lights:If putting them up was not bad enough after the new year you have to go out into the cold and take the bloody things down just to repeat the process next year.
-Jools Hollands Hootenanny: The most annoy thing of all, having to stay up till 12 new years eve and what this mindless Garbage, that has talent-less musicians play till the new year and being force to watch it by my dad. For those who don't know what it is all the year famous washouts trying to make abit more money when real musicians are at home parting Or doing private partys for 10x as much.

I hate how fake Christmas is. Its supposed to be about good will toward people then I turn on the news and see 2 moms kicking the shit out of each other for the last frickin' toy on the shelf.

I refuse to fake happiness, if I'm happy then I'll be happy; but if I'm annoyed or mad I'm gonna let you know that too.

This season has become far too commercialized. Its all about what pretty, shiny thing you can wrap up and give.

Now people are pissed about saying Merry Christmas, they want you to say happy holidays because its more PC, fuck that noise. If I want to say Merry fucking Christmas then I'm gonna.

And the New Year! Thats just an excuse to get piss drunk and make a promise that you have no intention of keeping. I don't even see it as a Holiday

I loooove christmas lights etc, I don't see how people not like it :S, even if I don't do anything I still love the feeling of the music etc.

I can't think of anything bad about christmas, part from the ice, and slushes from the snow.

Thats not true a lot of the resolutions people make, they DO complete it.

    -Annoying repetitive commercials.
-Ungreatful little shits who don't appreciate what they get.
-When people feel like they HAVE to have a boyfriend/girlfriend to enjoy it.
-When radio stations start playing Christmas music in November (I don't know if that counts).
-The focus on gifts and presents. I personally love the long break WAY more.
    --------------------
-I hate new years because I never have anyone to kiss when the ball drops.

OMG this. I gave my cousin a $70 gift set of The Chronicles of Narnia last year, and he pitched a tantrum because his cousins got cheap pocket knives and action figures. I swore to all gods that I am donating to charity for them this year. Spoiled brats.

    Here are mine:
    - Shopping. Why does everyone in a store during the month of Christmas appear to have lost their mind?
    - Forced social interaction.
    - Repetitive Christmas music (especially in malls or stores).
    - Cold weather.
    - Hangovers.
    - Having to warm up the car before I go to work.
    - Having to drive home in the dark after work because there's no daylight left.
    - People asking you over and over again, "What do you want?" or "What are you getting So-and-So?" Because the answers are "Nothing" and "I have no idea."
    - How Christmas has become a corporate holiday where merchants coerce people to overspend, rather than a time of religious reflection.
    - Christmas roadblocks.
    - Christmas travel.

The only thing i hate is working retail. The crowds are ridiculous during this time.

And WOW....sounds like some of ya'll need to go hide in a hole this time of year. No one said you have to be happy all the time and everytime you see someone who is ungrateful it should be a reminder of the reasons that you have to be grateful.

Why would someone elses promise to themselfs have an effect on your mood.

I don't have a problem socializing during the holidays or anything, these are just some of my pet peeves. *shrug*

Also, "Some of ya'll need to go hide in a hole this time of year" and "No one said you have to be happy all the time" sound like contradictory statements, lol. People are just venting their frustrations with the holidays, it's not a sign of irreversible grinchitude or anything. :icon_wink

A friend of mine was attacked by an old lady because she thought he was going for the last set of LEGOs on the shelf. She came up and started hitting him with her cane, this was 2 years ago not this year by the way.

Gotta love crazy people around the holidays

    Things that annoy me:
-I always seem to be broke around the holidays :frowning2:
-My family seems to always catch an attitude around the holidays, itsss soooo annoying!!
-People that go crazy trying to buy the latest stuff, just because its 50% off does not give you the right to act like a inconsiderate person while at the store.
-Other than that I just love the holidays

I hate only one single thing about this time of year: the greed people put out there as it gets closer to Christmas.

The holidays are supposed to be about giving, and being thankful for what you do have. It's really depressing how people are all about getting shit. Materialism is practically a religion now. I think it should be mandatory to give to a charity or something every holiday season. Whether it is a nickel, a dime, or a dollar this season is supposed to be about joy and love, as we give to those we care for as well as those less fortunate than us who don't have anything.

Other than that I can't get enough of this time of year! I even love the drastically overplayed music they beat you over the head with at malls and stores.

I used to be one of those brats who got upset when they didn't get what they wanted exactly, now since all that's been going on for the last year and a half, I'm so much more grateful to my parents for their presents, (except this one time where my sister said to my aunt to get me a sweatshirt, but I already had like 50 million sweatshirts).

The only thing I really don't like is the Happy Holidays thing, I mean I celebrate Christmas and if I say Merry Christmas people can either say "Merry Christmas to you too!" or "Oh, I'm Jewish." In which case I'll then say "Happy Holidays then!"

My brothers bring around their girlfriends to family events.

I'm so sick of hearing "So, where's your girlfriend Chaz?" or "Now we're just waiting for Chaz's" or "Just missing one..." or "There's an empty seat for Chaz's girlfriend next year."

Those comments alone make me hate holidays.

The one thing I hate is the comercialisation of such a holiday. Is this really what Christmas has come down to? Getting presents and whinging when it's not the right colour or not quite what you asked for. Why is it all about the presents? When did Christmas become an excuse to suck money out of people? The media nd businesses have jumped at the opportunity to make some serious money by making Christmas all about the business. I despise christmas songs, especially 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' and the like. It just makes me cringe how this 'happy' time of year is forced upon society with no means of escape. Happiness is quite literally crammed into people. Like someone said, it's this false happiness that gets to me.

Being forced into seeing family members that I clearly don't get along with. Snow. ...Snow.

This. Except change snow for rain.

Also, I love christmas and the holidays, but I'm jumping on the opposite side of the "OMG YOU HAVE TO BE HAPPY ALL THE TIME" bandwagon.

I'm not fucking barney. If I'm pissed I'll be pissed until my mood changes. Just because I'm reminded it's christmas doesn't mean that's going to change. Just saying. ^_^
