That's right, I'm considering on doing drag, and I would really love if people could post here on their thoughts and if anyone knows information about like where to buy things needed for drag, what one should know, etc. What's more, I need to figure out a name...I can't help but think I might take a kind of classy way of drag. So like think Marilyn Monroe in the white dress, just classy. Now with the "drag name creator" where you take the name of your pet and first street, my name would be Scout Sunset which sounds horrible. Any suggestions?

And as for shoes, hit up Payless for basic pumps. Buy an actual bra (awkward but) because it creates a more realistic bust. Stuff it with loose cotton/pillow stuffing. It's soft. Invest in costumes that won't require you to tuck much. Stockings are a girls best friend-for when she doesn't get a chance to do a good shave. Electric then wet razors.

Look for a certain artist and make a strong niche for yourself. For example: say you love love love Blondie. Own it. Go rocker chic. Since you're saying Marilyn, go 50's rock glam.

A good wig is a girls best friend. An amazing hairspray is better.

Shit, I wish my friend up in Toronto still had Miss C's Closet in business, but he closed it last year. Given that you're in London, and TO has such a huge drag scene (honestly, I don't know how one town can sustain that many drag queens!), start asking around up there. I know there's at least one person that specifically makes drag outfits for a living, since my friend gets a lot of his stuff made by that person.

My drag name is Courtney Jane Andrews. All the initials are the same as mine lol CJA. But when doing make-up go soft and with natural tones if u want classy drag. And duct-tape is your best friend if you are tucking but dont put it on there like wear panties and tuck cuz that helps alot and u can use a ghetto corset to get that hourglass figure. when doing shoes go a couple sizes bigger than you actual size. then when wearing heels go up half a size every inch u add.

Hmm... I know Miss Conception, Shelita Buffet, Heroine Marks, and Kitty Litter are already taken as drag names by Canadian performers, but they will give you a good idea of good drag names.

All Drag Race names...which is exactly why I'm considering drag. Unfortunate is that my boyfriend doesn't have drag queens in the best light, saying that they kind of diminish the rights Harvey Milk fought for and such. Good thing is he's okay with me doing it but if he started getting uncomfortable about it he'd talk to me. (I think uncomfortable would just be like me coming home in the drag and just collapsing on the bed, or like letting it run my life. Like spending more money on breasts than food. OR something like that lol.

I know there are websites around that specialise in wigs and shoes for drag.... I assume they exist for everything else too. And there should be plenty of advice around online too (there definitely is for being a drag king) so in theory you could get everything online.
Oh, and you can definitely order bras online..... finding the right size will be much simpler than for a girl. Saves you some embarrassment.

Or word phonetic puns of greek goddesses? Example:
    Hair-Ah (Hera)
    A-"Tween"-uh (Athena)
    Ochi-Anus (Oceanus)
    Afro-Diety (Aphoridite)
    Purse-Stephanie (Persephone)
    Demi-Eater (Demeter)
    Arty-Miss (Artemis)

I actually know straight guys that have done drag, so go for it! Milk wasn't fighting for the "normal" gays to get accepted. He was fighting for everyone to get accepted!

I can't help you in any other way, but def post pics  haha
