Well I know my gaydar is knackered! I still haven't managed to figure out whether a 20 y/o guy at work is gay or straight, and I've been working with him since September......

Yes. A good 8 out of 10 in my books. No girl friend, though I'm sure he'd have no problems attracting the girls. When he kept getting texts on his mobile the day after Valentines Day I asked if these were from people he'd sent Valentines to and he said he "doesn't have time for that". The whole subject area is one he seems to avoid in conversation - seems familiar..... Yet he is into raves and drinking wth mates which seem quite straight activities. And he has bought a straight porn DVD on eBay (called "Boyz Meat Girl" - so more males than females perhaps).

    :bang: :help: :icon_conf

Well... not all cute guys are gay (yeah, I know, I'm sorry too :'( but what can you do?)... so perhaps the 'doesn't have time for that' and the avoiding the subject could mean that he's had some troubles relationship-wise that he's not over yet, it does not necesarilly(sp?) mean he's gay... though, you could stalk him and see if he checks out any cute guy/girl to get more info... :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It is true, unfortunately. Someone should make a law that says cute guys must be gay - that would make it so much easier for us!

He knows I'm gay and doesn't have any problems with it at all. Indeed he is happy to be in my company and normally takes his lunch break at the same time as me (though it's either me or the boss who is also his friend's dad). So if he was gay and out I think he would have said something by now.

I think if he is gay, he isn't out - probably not even to himself. I see some of how I was at his age in the way he conveniently avoids certain subjects etc. If someone had asked me when I was that age I would have denied it, so I don't think asking would achieve anything.

Well he lives too far away for that to be practical, and I think he'd recognise my little yellow sports car driving round his village! At work there are just three of us so nothing to observe there.

I took him to a trade show a couple of weeks ago and tried to watch who he checked out. However it was a typical "suits and slappers" affair with a destinct lack of anything worth checking out (unless you are into middle-aged sales reps in suits or similar aged ladies wearing short skirts and far too much make-up). The only thing I saw him watching was a group of students but they were a mix of genders and looked well out of place there.

At the motorway services afterwards he was either talking to me or texting on his phone (to "mates" apparently) and not checking people out. So a whole day and no clues. :frowning2:

Uhmmm... raves are about the gayest/most bicurious things ever. They are not even remotely what I would call "straight."

yeah, that's not really a problem considering you've been in this world quite a long time... I however, don't know much more than you, and I am half your age... so... where does that leave me???
