The lyrics to Pendulum's "Watercolour" remind me a lot of my first intimate experience with a guy. That, of course, is thanks to a large amount of liberal interpretation of the lyrics on my part--and probably due in no small part to the fact that he introduced me to the song--but hey, the point of ambiguous lyrics is to allow the listener more liberty in how he relates to them, allowing them to appeal to a wider variety of people.

Drops of Jupiter by Train. These lyrics remind me of my mom. She went through a lot with my dad, and lost who she was a long the way. She's been searching for herself for a long time.

The lines starting with Plain Ol' Jane and ending with a story about a man who was afraid to fly remind me of when she used to tell me to aim high for my dreams. And my middle name is Jane lol.

So... I'm friends with this girl but really wish we could be more. And, for the first time, I actually think I might have something of a chance with her. She's very affectionate with me and responds pretty well to my hints and stuff. She also has hinted that she likes girls a whole lot in the two years I've known her. But there are two small problems here. One, I'm absolutely terrified to actually ask her out or anything, hence being "tongue tied." And two, she's leaving after this summer. She's gonna be about 2 or 3 hours away... Almost all of my friends move/change schools/are graduating, and it really sucks.
