I was thinking of moving to Vic and it could be Box Hill. Does anyone live in that area? If so is it a nice area or crappy. =P

Yea i live in Melbourne but not in Box hill. It's pretty good place to stay as long as it's near public transport. Only because there are a limited amount of entertainment places there. There are nicer suburbs but the prices obviously increase quite a bit the closer you get to the city. ANyway there are really good restraunts though. Hope it helps. U'd get more info from someone who has lived or has a friend who lives there tho.

Box hill is fairly close to me. It's typically an asian suburb (the main shopping centre there is mostly run by an asian crowd with asian themed stores. It's about 15-20 minutes from the city by train if you catch an express, and probably the same amount of time if you drive.

It's fairly large, so you get a range of good and bad houses etc - it really depends on which part of boxhill you'll be living in.

It's fairly close to me aswell.. I think it is a pretty good suburb, compared to some others around Melbourne. Like Micah said, it's mostly inhabited by people of asian ethnicity and most of the businesses are targeted at this group of people.

Overall it is pretty nice.. not crappy, just depends whether you like chinese food :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Bubblecup is a store that sells bubble-tea
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubble_tea

It's typically run by asians, and they have a tendency to employ asians to work there. There's a little asian man on the bottle and the lid is sealed onto the top of the cup, so the straw is stuck in. I thought that's what Dave meant :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Not meaning to stray off topic, but I'm just back for yesterday and today, since I've had my last 2 days of school. I'll fill you all in on it in a few weeks, but saw this topic and thought I'd help out!
