    So what do you people do when you're feeling down and/or Depressed?

    My list is

    Listening to Music
    Watching one of my favorite Game Shows
    Exercising
    Hot/Nice Weather
    Talking outloud about your problems if your home alone or in the car talk about it out loud that's helps me calm down.
    Talking to a Friend
    Go out! let the problems out!, i believe people should go out every once in a while instead of being bottled up in the house all day.
    Cleaning
    Eating a good unhealthy meal i think helps too

    My usual coping method for feeling blue combines a few of the things you mentioned: getting out of the house, getting exercise (by walking), and listening to music. It often works quite well.

    a) Listen to some anarcho punk music.
    b) Listen to some feel good indie rock.
    c) Listen to some Ani Difranco.
    d) Write poetry as if it's as necessary as breathing.
    e) Think about all the pretty girls in the world <3
    f) Take a shower
    g) Take a jog (whilst listening to said punk music)

    And if I'm really down, I simply curl up in bed and hug my stuffed pig to me :slight_smile:

    Dancing in your room with no one watching. However good or bad you want. To whatever type of music you want.

    I have a full song choreographed to I'mma Be by the Blacke Eyed Peas.

    It's the worst dancing I ever do. But it's a lot of fun and gives a wicked endorphin boost.

    I like to listen to music, watch a film or read a book. Anything i can lose myself in. Exercise is also good.

    curl up in bed with a trashy book
    polish off my resume
    cook something that doesn't come out of a box
    have lunch with a friend
    paint
    light candles & listen to classical music
    go for a walk
    cuddle with my dog & cat
    have a good cry

    I just seem to be on a constant downward spiral in this department.
    Things that I once took comforting in are disappearing and more this happens the less I care about the things I should care about, which in turn means I neglect them until they aren't comforting anymore etc. etc.

    Reading, listening to music, and dancing help, but I find that the best way to de-depress myself is giving myself a good laugh. Reading "The Eye of Argon" or watching Monty Python are two of my biggest laugh-inducers. Talking with my Dad works as well. He's like a walking comedy show when he's not tired or working.

    Whenever I feel a little down I'll call a friend and we'll have a sleepover. Usually we're drunk most of the time, but that's college life I guess. If we can't get together I like to pick one of my favorite books and reread it. Watching Spongebob always lifts my spirits too. I've never watched an episode and walked away in a bad mood.

    1) Mope like a mother and sleep a lot for like a day or two sometime more
    2) Talk about it with someone
    3) Talk about it with someone more and more until i've talked it to death
    4) Mope and think about what i talked about
    5) Watch ever lady gaga video in order of creation
    6) Listen to my "pick me up" music playlist of happy songs
    7) Repeat steps 5 and 6 as necessary to take my mind of things
    8) Talk and think about stuff more
    9) Feel better as i listen to music and learn to get back to normal and out of my mope/sleeping mood

    When I feel down I turn my music on, as rock and emo as it gets, and then it depends on how I feel. I'll start singing along, dancing, drawing, writing stories or poems, do some sit-ups, push-ups and things like that, throw my pillows across my room, drink some alcohol to forget my problems, or just cry out loud on my bed and scream to everyone who enters my room.
    I'm really angry at my friends right now, so I listen to music and do some exercise. That feels good.

    Some of these were already said, but when I'm feeling down I:
    Talk to my friends,
    Write a poem about it,
    Listen to some music,
    Sit/lye on the floor in my bedroom and let my bunnies climb all over me,
    Cuddle with my dogs,
    Watch a really childish TV show,
    Write in my journal,
    Watch uplifting youtube videos.
    There are probably other things I do but I can't think of them now.
