Something that appears to annoy me lately is that, no one took me seriously when I came out. Now, I understand that some people in my school, say they are bi; possibly just for guys attention. But i'm really serious about it.

Coming out was one of the hardest things i've ever really done.
And to think that after all this crap I went through to come out, people wont take it seriously... it just makes me think if it was worth it or not.

That's exactly what just happened to me :/ I came out to someone and got a rather negative reaction saying "you aren't bi, you're just attention seeking" etc etc.. What she actually said I posted in the thread "what are you thinking"..

I think tho the best thing to do is to be confident with who you are and just ignore all the people who try and bring you down because of your sexuality. Because in the end, they don't matter.

    Hope this helps..

    Hi Izumy,

I am really sorry people don't seem to take you seriously when you come out to them as bisexual.
I think you're dealing with two issues here. The first one is that, unfortunatly, many people have misconceptions about bisexuality. Some pretend it doesn't exists, some pretends bisexuals are just greedy people, other are going to tell you you're too young to know... and I'm sure there are other stupid things that are said.
The second thing is that you're 16 and still in high school, wich means that unfortunatly, you're dealing with the "high school stuff" (boys and girls more worried about the way they look and their popularity than about getting good grades).
I think that the best option (as frustrating as it is) is just to ignore the stupid comments made by stupid people.
You know who you are, you come out to them, that is your business. They believe you or not, that is their business. You don't owe them anything. If they choose not to believe you, then they don't, but guess who will look stupid once you'll get a girlfriend
And don't worry, high school doesn't last forever (fortunatly !!!)
    Take care, Cécile

I don't understand why people don't take others seriously about stuff like this, guys love bi girls, straight girls are bitchy about it, but what happens when a guy comes out. the girl loves it and the guys are bitchy about it.
