Default Most often used way to tell people?

So what is your most commonly used way to come out of the closet? Just out of curiosity.

So far, I've mostly come out in person. A few have been through FB and notes, but I prefer in person.

Person is best but I've used pretty much all the other methods minus texting cuz I don't text and I don't think I've come out through IM, either.

All of my active comings-out have been in person, but I also voted for "I never had to, they already knew!" because many of my friends found out from the "Interested in" field on my Facebook profile. I'm often told that I'm very "straight acting" so that has been a God-send for not needing to come out as often as I would otherwise have to.

I voted text and im because I never actually said it to anyone while I still considered myself in the closet. Now it always just comes up in conversation and people ask me and I tell the truth because I'm not in the business of going back to lying about who I am

I suppose I would be similar, a lot of people don't realise I'm gay. But I find that to be a bother, I want people to know and I'd rather not to have the hassle of having to tell them.

the first person I told was on the phone, I sent her a text saying I had to talk to her, that nothing was wrong, but it was important.

After I just told people face to face, I had trouble at first, but I got over it.

I've come out with notes to three people and in person to two others. One of my friends actually turned it into a question game when I tried to tell her because I just couldn't come out and say it. She got it on the third guess...

I wouldn't really say I've ever really "told" someone in person- I either made them guess what I wanted to tell them or they asked me.

I think I have used every single one of those to come out haha

I just do whatever feels right at the moment and depends on who I'm telling. I haven't come out to anyone in a while tho... Kinda sad

I've come out as bi to my then-boyfriend, my best friend and my therapist. I had thought the first 2 would take it so badly I'd need to be there in person, but as it turns out they all were ok with it. I think the nature of the person you tell and the anticipated mode of response are more important than than the manner of conveying it

Mostly I suspect by having it written on my back. I put face to face.... I just assume everyone knows so they sort of learn by osmosis.

I prefer instant message. I can avoid the awkwardness that would come from telling someone to their face and the nervousness of having to wait a long period of time for a response.
