| Member Regular Member   Gender: Male Orientation: Questioning Out Status: Some people Location: MELBOURNEEE Posts: 64 Join Date: Apr 2011 |  List of 15 Things to do when turning 18 i just watched an episode of Brothers and Sisters, where Justin created a list of things to do So what are the 15 things you DID or would DO when/at 18 Would LOVE to hear suggestions!! nothing sexual/drug related thanks! and something an average 18year old can do (with an average university student budget) THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I'm not sure what I would've put on a list if I'd gone with that idea (apart from maybe learning to drive, which I still haven't done, as well as come out), but it's something for me to consider when I turn twenty-one at least, or even twenty. Even the common stuff to do after reaching that age I didn't do, nor had interest in (drinking, voting, etc). |

Went into a sex shop. Didn't buy anything though. Got upset when I had to pay an adult price for a movie ticket, as I didn't have my student card on me. Went to a casino.. for the buffet... Almost got a tattoo, as I didn't need parents permission anymore. Pulled out at the last minute, decided black just wasn't my colour. Saw an R rated movie. Not that I've ever been stopped from doing so while younger... Filed for my adult passport.

Although I only bought my first lottery ticket three months ago, and haven't voted yet, those were the only two things I was super excited about when I hit 18. Oh and you can buy spraypaint, cold medicine, and condoms (yes, where I live you have to be 18 to buy condoms!) legally now too.

Doing stuff worth putting on a list was more linked to moving out of my parents house, and then a year later moving out of a hall and into my own place. So not really birthday related, but if you want the list.... - Got blind drunk on a number of occasions - Got tattooed - Got pierced - Got a cat (and then another one) - Got a dog (getting a shared pet with a partner is a bad idea. I miss my puppy.... ) - Came out - Joined an organised political movement (very briefly) and some other stuff I probably shouldn't post......

Be adult!!!!!!!! Move out (well doing that at sixteen, but whatever)
