It's not always like what people make youtube videos about. Shep Smith is one great reporter on Fox.
But yeah. They can be pretty shifty. But not the whole station and everyone on it.

besides, rumor is it that shep smith bats for our team...

It is hardly secret that the people who own and run fox news are distinctly anti-liberal and anti-moderate. They are fairly open in it, both on and off the air.

I love how fox news pushed birtherism like no ones buisness, yet the man who owns the entire outlet, is not even an american born citizen. But it is probably safe to bet that most fox news viewers have no idea that rupert murdoch is australian born.

Unfortunately I know people that do take Fox News VERY seriously. My paternal grandparents have retired and they spend all day watching it--I really do believe that it's rotting their minds.

They aren't even very good reporters even if we completely forget about their blatant agenda for a moment. Look at this one...

The numbers in the poll add up to 120%. Since when does the population of a poll ever exceed 100? Either they manipulated the numbers or are unable to do simple things like addition and multiplication--definitely not quality journalism.

^ true... But unfortunately, I have met some people IRL who do take Fox News seriously. Including my 8th Grade history teacher. I remember when he said that Fox was the only trustworthy news station. And I actually kind of believed him for a while. LOL WUT.

I take BBC news seriously because they have to remain impartial or they get fined a lot of money. Also, my Dad's an editor for BBC world news so yeah... I may be slightly biased.

Just think how it would be different if the tables were turned in the story.

Like, if there was one Christian graduating from a high school and there were statues or shrines or whatever you want to call it from another religion.

I do not take FOX News seriously. Yes, FOX News is primarily biased to the right side of the political spectrum and CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and others are biased to left. That is not why I do not take FOX News seriously. I understand that people have their views and they like to hear them talked about...that's fine. The reason why FOX News may put a bad taste in people's mouths is because of their harshness. This is totally from my perspective (I am an overly sensitive gay anyways); I feel that they tend to demonize people quited a bit. For instance, I was watching them yesterday and one of FOX News' contributors referred to John Kerry as "scum" for an incident involving adultry. However they never demonized Newt Gingrich with the term "scum" when he had an affair. For such a "Christian-based" news station, its contributors and news anchors have a great tendency to judge. I would take them seriously if their rhetoric was not so intense.(!)

i stopped viewing fox as an actual news source when they reported an article from the onion as a factual news source.

Their morning shows..or any morning "news" show on any network for that matter..can't really be classified as a news program..I'll stick to Bloomberg.

Their opinion shows (Hannity, O'Reilly, etc) are just that..opinion shows...take them with a grain of salt. I hardly watch them because I think they are annoying.

Shep Smith is a damn good reporter and If I'm home I will watch his evening broadcast...and Bret Baier is one of the best reporters on Capitol Hill who has a ton of respect from both sides of the aisle in Washington...so you gotta take the good with the bad.

But, they must be doing something right..because you people still do talk about them an awful lot

Right in a business sense. Wrong in a journalistic and ethical sense.
