I think so. Some bruises, and I'm very shaky. My shoes were slightly too big, so there was room in the toes of the shoes, and I could get them off my feet without too much difficulty.

My friend got her shoes stuck in the oldest escalator on the London Underground (which is at the station closest to where we live) and the station manager yelled at her because she might have damaged it.

I'm reminded of a scene from a horror movie (one of the Final Destination movies, if I recall correctly) where a woman is eaten (after a fashion, anyway) by an escalator.

But I'm glad you managed to escape Maddy.

my sister hates escalators because she had a loose fitting shirt get stuck on the railing once, fortunately she managed to escape before it got to the top.

Omg this has always been a fear, especially after the newest Final Destination movie last year. Can't believe it can actually happen...I've posted it on my fb to warn people.

I thought you mean stuck at the top as in, going down but being scared of heights or something. That happened to me at a busy underground station, I just couldn't get on cause it was an almost vertical down. I held up people for a good minute or so. I froze up

I was like 8 or something.
