i fully support this! the breast has been too sexualized by the christians. i'm not attacking the religion, or any of the followers of the religion. however, i truly believe that the christians are the ones who are responsible for the over-sexualization of the breast. i was raised to believe that breasts are just breasts, and that there's nothing wrong or sexual about nudity. it becomes sexual when there's sexual contact. as for breasts, they're used to feed babies. i support breast feeding in public, and i support topless beaches for women. there's no conceivable reason why a woman should be forced to wear a top when we kane can get away without wearing a shirt in public.

what's yer stand on this? do you think that women should be given the choice? or do you think they should be forced to cover up?

Well I am fully supportive of breast feeding in public places. That's a no-brainer for me. I actually see no problem with beaches designated as nude. I guess I might have a problem with women running around topless anywhere they pleased or men too actually. I just think men will never desexualize the breast and I'm not sure I would want them too. It makes us women feel special. :icon_wink

topless women? so cool! i'm for it but i'm like on of those guys striaght women hate because they are always staring at their breasts. its like wear a sweater if you don't like it. you are obviously whereing it for attention. you can cover up and dress for hot weather. i wish i could walk around topless because i feel like a guy. and guys can do that at beaches.

I don't mind if women go topless. I fully support breast feeding, cos its natural and what they were designed to do. I wanna go to a nude beach one day, and I agree that breasts, and nudity in general has been over sexualised, although Im not completely sure that it is just Christianity that is behind it.

Cloathing first started as a need, when the cavemen or whatever needed warmth. Now, however, it's becomeing more and more about Vanity. I myself would be all nude where people comftrable with it (there not), so I say skin is skin, weither it's hand or chest. I say the front is Fair game to show without being heckled.

I don't have a problem with it.. However I can see families with children having a problem with it.

Years ago here in Ontario A young woman strolled down a street in Kitchener and was arrested,Fought it in court and years later it was deemed legally permissible for woman to be topless but now 15years later no one does.
I find it strangely disturbing that"families with children having a problem with it"

I'm guessing it has to do with fear of today's vanity for the future. They dont want there kids to see the so called 'naughty bits'. However, truth be told, hideing it means it's forbidden and some sort of tabboo, and since we are all lured by mistory, it renforces the lust factor.

but there shouldn't be a problem with a naked body. like i said, a body is only sexual when there's sexual contact: touching of one's own genitals, touching of another's genitals, penetration, etc.

Topless women. It's the future

If women walked around topless, there would be a hell of a lot more accidents. Think about it though, they're a distraction for straight males and lesbian women! They will focus on boobs and not on anything oncoming (eg lamppost, wall, car etc)

Sorry, I really am not being serious about this. I do think that the breasts have been oversexualised. For example, a woman without breasts can still have sex, right? They don't play any part in the biological part of sex. Yes they come into play with breast feeding kids and stuff. But not sex. Plus, it is annoying how it's okay for a man to walk around topless but if a woman did she'd be called a slut. I myself probably wouldn't want to walk around topless but for the women who want to, they should be able to.

yes yes yes!! i look forward to the day when women can go topless just like men! it would make me feel so liberated to think that female breasts are no more necessarily sexual/shameful/whatever they're meant to be than male chests. i already go braless as much as i can because it's much comfier, but this woould be even better. i have often thought what double standards there are imposed on women's top halfs. go those swedish women!!!

if straight women and gay guys are expected to see a man's chest in public and not go lust-crazed, can't straight men and lesbians too (with breasts, i mean)?? the double standards over breasts/chests is only the thin of the wedge from muslim burkas (you know, a woman can't show herself because the men would just be too tempted by her frigging sexy... umm.... ears)

....and the breast feeding is just a no-brainer...

i so fully agree with this statement it's unreal! and i love the burka thing; that made me giggle. but yer right. women don't go gaga when they see pecs, and the way me and my brothers were raised, boobies don't make us go gaga. this puritan society has got to go. we introduced it to japan after WW2, and they took it to the extreme! in their pornography, which is supposed to be sexual, anything below the belt is pixelated out! like, what the hell?

it should be. it really should. but again, people in our puritan society don't want to discus the circle of life with their kids. that's why so many things are banned - breast feeding in public, the double standard that women must wear tops, the censorship division of the FCC. parents don't want to explain things to their children. and, instead of teaching them to walk away and ignore what they don't agree with, they choose to ban things!

    sorry for the rant haha
