yey another thread by me!

haha. anyways. i went shopping today and i really wasnt planning on buying much. maybe a shirt or something. well instead i bought myself 2 pairs of shoes. man i felt guilty but it was a bargain especially for Vans..I have an addiction to buying shoes. i have like 25 pairs. and at least half are vans.. Vans is my favorite brand of shoes.. just out of curiosity like my other threads. i wanna know what is your favorite brand of shoes. or kind whatever? lol

I have about 40 pairs of shoes in total, but only 26 with me at college.
I wear a lot of black shoes... currently visiting home for a month, and the shoes I brought with me were: one pair of dressy heels, smart casual flats, thongs, Converse, nice boots and work shoes... All in black.

I own 10 pairs of Converse also, but I pretty much only wear black boots (I have 4 pairs), black flats, black heels or black thongs, depending on weather/occasion. I'm lame like that.

Never owned, nor wanted Vans.

I have two decent pairs (one pair of Vans for day-to-day, one pair of plain black shoes for when I have to be a little more formal), and one pair of runners for emergencies. This caused a problem when my old Vans got destroyed in an escalator incident and my black shoes were still on campus when I was not. I dislike shoe shopping, after several traumatic experiences in my youth, and don't see why I'd need any more than what I've got - I can cover both casual and formal, what more do I need?

Converse (my faves, and most comfortable to me), Nike, Sketchers, Rebok, Fi-La, New Balance. Those are all my favorites. Lol.

No matter which shoes I try, I tend to wear them out after a year or so. So I keep going back to my sturdy first love, the Mephisto:

Maybe some would say it isn't the most fashionable kind of shoe, but it fits like a second skin. Also, it's made out of gore-tex and leather which completely eliminates excess heat.

Usually I'll have a brown pair of those, and a black pair, and I just buy new ones of either whenever I wear one out.
