Out Status: Some people Location: Los Angeles Age: 19 Posts: 722 Join Date: Jul 2010 |  Summer Refreshment! well i was watching the food network and they were showing the most popular summer refreshments. Everything seemed good. so the question is what is your favorite summer refreshment? i dont know if its just me but when its super hot i dont really crave ice cream or milkshakes or even sometimes smoothies... even though they are cold i dont get refreshed i get more thirsty.. however the thing i do crave is kool aid with ice.. yum refreshing..lol. and also if any of you have been to red robin the Freckled Lemonade which is strawberry lemonade is soooo good and refreshing. i love it. its my favorite drink..lol. I even learned to make it..lol. i want some now... so i wanna see what you guys say..

Coffee! When it's this hot, I'll make a pot, put some in the fridge, wait a bit, and then... cold coffee! No ice though; waters it down. And yeah, freeze some Kool aid, put the "ice" in a glass of also Kool aid... If I had the stuff, I'd make a pie, either Key Lime or Lemon Meringue. Serve cold and nom. Yumful! |

lol... thanks for that. Anyhow, to answer OP. I think my fav summer refreshment is a cold Sam Adams. That and fresh mozzarella with basil and a slice of tomato drizzle with just a touch of olive oil.

| Guest Posts: n/a | Re: Summer Refreshment! Margaritas are soooooo tasty in the summer, the alcohol is just an added bonus. However, since I have to watch my calories and therefore can't have three or four margaritas a day, I will go with regular iced tea with lemon and sweet'n low. |
