My list of 5 is (in order of 1- being most important going down the list)
    1. Family (of course this is the top! even though we have the up and downs, they're always there(*hug*))
    2. Friends (not the sitcom but friends to hang/socialize/support etc. :rolle:slight_smile:
    3. Straightener (okay thank god for this magical invention without this. is like no LIFE!)
    4. The BED! :sleep:frowning2: No Bed = No Sleep = No beauty sleep? = OH HEO NO.)
    5. Lucas' Pawpaw ointment ( MOST MAGICAL THING MADE [It's a pawpaw version of vaseline] - can't stand having cracked lips  )

You can do this in any format. i'm not picky

Ignoring the obvious ones like food, shelter, family and friends, and in no particular order:

    1. My iPod. I might very well be addicted to music, going by the clinical definition of addiction. I actually feel "withdrawal" if I don't listen to music for too long, so I couldn't live without this little device. Using it to browse the internet and check my e-mail is cool, too, but it's the music that I can't live without.

    2. Speaking of which, music. Music is the closest thing I have to a religion, for it makes me feel better when I'm feeling down, and I often work through issues in my life by relating them to the lyrics in appropriate songs, so they're something like a holy book for me. I really don't know what I'd do without music.

    3. The internet. Much of my free time is spent doing something online. Aside from its obvious entertainment value, I'm an inquisitive person, and the internet allows me to satisfy my curiosity about any number of subjects, whether it be a simple trivium or wanting to know everything about something. It allows allows me to find new music with ease. And since Facebook falls under the internet, I'll mention it here, because it deserves special mention for making it easy to keep in touch with friends I don't see anymore and acts as a great extension to my friendships with people I do still see.

    4. My bicycle. Until recently, I wasn't licensed to drive, and even though I do have my license now, I don't have a car to call my own, and I'm not insured to drive someone else's (because I really don't like driving all that much, so why would I pay to be able to do it?). As such, my bike is indispensable for allowing me to get places I couldn't get to by walking, greatly increasing my range (literally). I mean, I'm willing to walk pretty far to get somewhere, but the human body can only handle so much walking (especially one as unfit as mine), so I'll bike those long distances instead.

    5. My scholarship. This might be an unorthodox thing to put on a list like this, but when you really look at it, it's the most valuable thing I "have". The college I am attending is giving me a merit-based full scholarship, which translates to me only needing to pay for my books and my booze. (I don't drink, though; I just like alliteration. Take "booze" to mean any pleasure-time spending.) It's a very real possibility that I wouldn't be able to afford to attend college if it weren't for this scholarship, and college, so far, has been the best time of my life by far, so I really couldn't live without this.

  5. Like Gamer am I, I'm going to ignore things like my family, my house, etc.

    1. My laptop. I keep my life on this thing.

    2. My kindle. All of my favorite books on one easy on the eyes, pocket sized device.

    3. Burt's Bees lip balm

    4. Good bagels

    5. cheap notebooks, nice pens for all my writing

1: my car! i love driving and i'm a street racer. it doesn't happen often, but when i feel alone, my car's always there for me to enter (and win[; ) a good street race. helps me escape.

2: cigs. i know, smoking's bad, blahblahblah. but i dun' smoke much or too often; it takes me weeks to finish a pack. just when things get too busy in my head. i never panic, but sometimes i feel like i can't think things out. at this point, a cig can calm me down and it helps me think of things how i usually do; i divide one big problem into smaller problems and work them all out one at a time.

3: music. the ultimate escape without getting into my car or having to worry about cig smoke. music is amazing. i always sing along, too. entering singing competitions has become a recent pasttime for me, too.

4: card games. tcgs. they help reassure me that i'm not as dumb as i think myself out to be. recently, i started playing magic (mtg). i built a deck out of card singles and the owner of the card shop (his deck is always called the prettiest girl at the dance 'cause it's hard to beat or whatever) challenged me. said he wouldn't go easy. i accepted. i won. haha; felt awesome. we were really close though. since that day, every time i go, he tells others that he lost to me and asks everyone to play me. haha.

5: facebook. not even the internet in general. facebook. i've met a lot of my boyfriends this way (i actually have a date later today with someone i met on fb:] ), and it helps me keep in touch with friends. plus, it's my way of getting closer with someone i just met 'cause a lot of people're too shy in person. lol

    1) Electricity. Life without it is hell. I don't know how the Amish do it.
    2) Running water. Again, I need these modern conveniences.
    3) My bed. Or maybe a large chair/ couch.
    4) My cat. He's the only reason I haven't given up at times and just run away from some issues.
    5) I'm going to list two things here, as this spot is a tie between television and tea. They are like my yin and yang. I can't have one without the other. No matter how lousy my day has been, or however crappy I'm feeling, some old sitcoms and a few cups of tea later, and everything is better.

    1) Earplugs. I use them to sleep!
    2) Privacy/Solitude. Being around people all the time makes me tired, so I need some regular alone time.
    3) A dog! If I don't own one, then at least frequent interaction with dogs. They're fun to play with and I feel like I can let my guard down and act silly in front of people if I have a dog on my side.
    4) Access to the ocean. I can't imagine living away from the ocean. I think I would be pretty unhappy, and I'm not sure if I would ever adjust to a life lived inland.
    5) Garlic. No, I'm not afraid of vampires, I just really like garlic. I don't eat it all the time, but I would hate to never eat it ever!

Aside from life necessities, of course...

1.) Internet. I learn and do so much with this everyday, life just wouldn't seem right without it anymore. This encompasses all my daily sites (Facebook, EC, Kotaku, etc.) as well as email.
2.) Bacon. My all-time favorite food. It's delicious and just smelling it always puts me in a great mood.
3.) Japan. I'm pretty sure a good 95% of the games I play and TV shows I watch come from here. Not to mention the food and language.
4.) My glasses. Seriously. Without these things I don't know if I could find my way around anywhere but the most familiar of places.
5.) Books. Of all kinds. If I can find a good one, I can be happy for hours on end. Whether I'm reading Tina Fey's autobiography, a book on the Japanese language, or a mystery novel, it takes me far away and let's me forget everything else.

    Ignoring the obvious stuff:

    1. The Internet - Seriously addictive. It's like another world and I can make my mark on it. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Empty Closets, plus Internet shopping for Amazon, eBay and GAME. I'm bad...

    2. Entertainment mediums - Films and TV are my life, as are games and music. Add books in their to break up the more demanding stuff and you have the perfect set of items required to entertain me.

    3. Computer - A day without my computer is like a day without waking up.

    4. Bourbon biscuits - The greatest biscuits ever known to mankind. A week without these I put myself on and it was painful.

    5. People - Whilst I have trouble socialising, I'm grown to love people as I've got older, whether it's family, friends or other.

    1) Internet, and computer stuff in general

    2) My library, more specifically anything by Tolkien

    3) Weetos cereal; I have it EVERY morning. I tried a month without eating it, but it failed miserably. I can eat it now, though

    4) My flute. It's my primary way to relax and calm down when stressed, angry, tired, short-tempered, etc.

    5) Laughter. Full stop.

    2) My condo. Even though it costs me a fortune and is pretty much falling apart around me i love that i have my own place to live.

    3) Books and my kindle.

    4) Travel. If i had to stay in the same place all the time i'd go nuts, i go somewhere about every 6 months just for a change.

    5) Tea. I drink about 10 cups a day, my work day would be so long and tedious without gallons of tea.
