So, I stumbled over this website on a thread in a different forum, and I thought maybe some of you might like to see it. It's a website where parents of LGBT teens post letters and notes of acceptance and stuff like that. Some of them are really moving. If this should go in a different section or something, sorry. >.> aNoteToMyKid.com
I read an article on Advocate about that site. I read all the letters. They were very sweet. I was a surprised by a few since if I read correctly, some were written to young kids who aren't old enough to have come out. I guess those parents are sensing something about their kid maybe? But anyway, yea, very heartfelt notes.
Such a wonderful site. Had this existed and had I known about it when I was younger this would have helped me immensely. Sure I came out and everything was fine but at the time when I was afraid of anybody finding out it would have been very encouraging to read some of these notes.
