Australia votes tomorrow in general federal election, thanks that all the electioneering crap has come to the end, lies lies and more lies. The libs are not interested in gay law reform, labor is just me too-ing, I'm voting greens at least they support gay rights and the only issue really is climate change, who are you voting for. (hope Howard looses his seat)

Your Forgeting the Australian Democrats there not slaves to big business, the unions, churches or extreme enviromental groups. But yet they also suport GLBT rights, and if you look at them in my opinion the best policys they are the original climate change party and introduced the first Gay Rights law a long time ago. But one of the most important things that could be done by australian voters is vote for the Democrats in the senate to bring back balance and stop the howard goverments abuse and misuse of the senate as a ruber stamp. I hople i will convince someone to vote for the democrats they are all at risk of losing there seats whitch I think is a bit sad. Hmmm i sound like a bit of an add.

I'm going to vote for Kevin Rudd. Hes pro gay isnt he? I dont follow any of this.

I really needed to educate myself more on the parties. I'm against the howard government and I wouldn't for labor either. No of those parties really appeal to me. I think I would vote for a 3rd party, if i could but I need to learn more about their policies to know what I'm talking about.

I remember seeing, in what little coverage that's made it to the US, that the Labor party or whatever was expected to win. Well, here's hoping the Greens get it!

A lot can change in 3 years.

Not to mention the fact that just because people may hate the leader of a particular party, doesn't mean they hate what that party stands for.

Well - it now looks strongly like Kevin Rudd will be the new PM. It also is running very close in John Howard's own seat - ATM he is still behind - but it is likely that he will get the majority of the pre poll and postal votes - whcih could still get him over the line (and I tend to think it likely will). I'll be chuckling very loudly if it doesn't tho'...

Yea Labor Won, wich is better than Howard Government still slightly disapointed about the response for the democrats. btw I did educate myself a bit more today and the democrats are the go for the gays right, like I actually found out for myself, they're actually trying to get same-sex marriage and equal rights (in all aspects) for the GLBTI comunnity. I found out that the Liberals were automatically stopping same-sex couples migrating, and stopping same-sex couples adopting overseas children.
