Me and Kiersten were talking and decided that since there was a yaoi thread there should be a yuri thread too. I know the yuri fans on EC are far and few but for those of you who do like yuri, whats your favorite and why? (Please keep it appropriate, no porn.) One of my favorites is El Cazador de la Bruja, it's about a bounty hunter who gets a job protecting a mysterious young girl with a bounty on her head. It has lots of explosions and action-y stuff as well as the romantic aspect, and I loves me some explosions!

Perhaps my favorite yuri series has got to be the manga Pure Marionation. I also like Aoi Hana. I haven't heard of El Cazador de la Bruja before. Is there real yuri in it or just subtext? Subtext kinda annoys me because someone can always make the valid claim that they're just friends and not lovers.

Well, for me my favoruite will always be Strawberry Panic, which I think a few people already know! :P The stories are just sooo romantic, especially Nagisa & Shizuma's, but there's the storyline following Amane Ōtori & Hikari that is just so amazing as well! There are a few action scenes, but nothing too actiony! I can really relate to Tamao tho, I know what it's like to have an unrequited love... 'Memories' is probably my favourite episode tho!

I've read Aoi Hana and I really like that one, but not the first one I might check it out.  El Cazador doesn't start out as a yuri, but their relationship becomes a very big part of the story later on and greatly influences many of the choices the girls have to make. I really like SP as I've said many times on these forums, my only beef miiight be that St. Miator story was so sweet and rich in story that adding a second story at the St. Spica school almost made it too sweet lol. But that isn't anything too big to me.

Pure Marionation is a really cute story about an android who is programmed to be human. I like stories about robots who have human characteristics, so it's a nice combination of that and yuri. ^^

I love Strawberry Panic! It was my first GL that I read and I'm very proud of that fact. I've watch the anime, read the manga, AND I read the light novels, which are incredibly amazing and go into a lot more detail than either the manga or the anime. Any Strawberry Panic fan, I strongly recommend reading the light novels if you haven't already! Next to that, I also really like Kannazuki No Miko (Destiny of the Shrine Maiden). A lot of people I know think it's pretty average but I love it, especially Chikane! She's probably my favorite character from an GL ever! I've also read Aoi Hana and enjoyed it and I've also read a bit of Hayate X Blade which was okay.
