I recently changed my interest in to men... I am def. not someone people would expect that from... what can I expect from this point forward? Is there a way for people to search other people by interested in?

90% of people who change it never hear anything about it from anyone.
And if it does get out, you're gay already and apparently pretty comfortable with it. What do you have to worry about?

What can you expect? Next-to-nothing, because that bit of info is on a page that people almost never look at.

There isn't a way for people to search for other people via their answer on "interested in". You can't even filter your friends that way.

Chances are he didn't do a search specifically...but chances are decent-to-good that he decided to check out some profiles, and check out that page on each of them.

I don't think that anybody noticed when I changed my status like that on facebook. Its one of those areas that you don't really look at, I don't think that I've looked at anyone else's information part from what I can remember. Several people have come out on facebook through a status saying it, I even did it myself. I wouldn't worry too much, you've put it there which means you must be comfortable with it in some respect.

Sometimes when you change your relationship status or interested in section it pops up on the facebook newsfeed. I wouldn't worry too much and I don't think you can look up people based on their sexual orientation. Your friend may have either seen it on the newsfeed or just looked to see on your page because he was curious. You probably won't deal with anything bad at all and I'm happy for you that you got up the courage to change your facebook "interested in" section.

I did that when I first came out, I had it set to that for weeks and only my best friend noticed until I began telling people. Some noticed that way, but once some noticed, it went viral. So meh.

I only check people's "interest in" when I'm wondering what they are interested in. Usually I find that they haven't answered that particular question

Unless they're out of course ...
