..waiting in the sky. He'd like to come and meet us but he thinks he'd blow our minds. New Avatar. I am now no longer me but a starman - a starman deluxe mind you. Having that picture of me made me kind of paranoid so I opted to change it back to something unrecognizably associated with me. So uh, how's everyone? ^^ I still don't know most of you very well. Heh. And you probably don't know me very well. Boy I bet you're mad I made you waste your time with a misleadingly intriguing title such as that; only to find this thread contains something as menial as an avatar change. ~( )-( )~ And now it contains a lacy bra!
I wonder how many other people here will recognise that lyric and know what song it's from and who sang it?
I don't recognize the song, but I'm pretty sure I recognize that avitar ^^ Earthbound, right? Mother 2 (Japanese title)?
Wait wait!! Omg that's Bowie, isn't it? Is it?? Can I finally get those damned lyrics off my mind?? ^^```
... cu-cu-ca-chu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqOKvonLrH8 What were they smoking when they made that...
As funny as the chorus is, the lyrics to that song are just downright WIERD! Have you studied them before? http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/I-Am-the-Walrus-lyrics-The-Beatles/251F4ED8AB28FCD448256BC2001430BF
They were certainly well into their weird (drug induced?) phase by then. You wouldn't think this was the same group that bought us Hey Jude and Hard Day's Night. BTW, sorry Level N Human for us completely hijacking your thread......
lol yeah, sorry about that! Oh, but one final word! My sister is a HUGE beetles fan, and she knows the stories behind a lot of the songs. She says I Am The Walrus was supposed to be a stream of consciousness thing, but I don't know if you've tried a stream of consciousness exercise before or not, but I certainly never came up with lines like "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together." lol
It's all cool man. Nice to see some people recognized both the song and my avatar. Consider yourselves pop culturally proficient. By the way the Walrus was Paul... More obscure beatles trivia!!
Uhm okay...You can't study the lyrics to I AM THE WALRUS because they mean NOTHING. The proof: When the song was written John Lennon has just learned that there was a class dedicated to studying his lyrics..so John kinda baffled by this wrote the I AM THE WALRUS song and was quoted to say, "Let those [BAD WORD] figure it out." Or something along those lines. Buy yea...it's was drugs and meditation will do to you.
That's very cool! ^^ Still doesn't mean the stream of consciousness story is false, however ^^ seeing as that exercise rarely makes any sense, and by nature can't be planned.
"The Walrus Was Paul" was a conspiracy theory book based on the "Paul is dead" (and they've replaced him with a duplicate) rumors surrounding the Beatless. Crazy shit. Google that shit.
My dad told me about that whole thing ^^ it is absolutely hilarious how people can not only come up with these things, but get others to believe them. Paul died, they had to cover it up, but they could give clues to their fans? How...why...ugh!
