This is a tee-shirt design I found when I was randomly shopping around on the Net for clothes. I laughed, and I can't tell whether it's offensive or not.

Offensive or funny? I mean, normally I would think it was funny just because it's a pun and it's obviously satirical, but I've read some pretty gruesome stories of gay bashings lately (like a guy getting his jawbone stomped into his brain) so I'm conflicted about whether anyone has enough palpable irony to pull wearing this shirt off.

Edit: Apparently the site hosting the image blocks requests coming from other servers. Here's the link to it.

I think something went wrong. Is my computer not displaying the image, or is it just not there at all?

^ It's a play on the "Nothing runs like a Deere" tee-shirts, only it's "Nothing runs like a Queere" and it has a flaming guy prancing away from a mob.

There's not even a tasteful way to describe that.

    Hmmm...
I could totally envision a homophobe wearing this.

Honestly...if I saw someone wearing that shirt, I'd automatically assume that he or she were homophobic, and I'd probably feel bad after seeing it. Lol.

I think when manufacturers produce stuff like this, it just encourages homophobia & violence against LGBT people even more. Yep, capitalism has evolved. Now it can be used to make a buck off of the hatred & prejudice other people have & even encourage people to make goods to encourage them. If I saw a shirt like this on someone, I'd probably get extremely nervous. If I saw it on one of my friends, we wouldn't be friends for much longer. If I saw someone selling it, I'd try & complain to the retailer about it too, but then again, if they're selling it, I'd pretty much be outing myself in the process of complaining...

Yeah, I've seen some "gay" shirts that are funny, but gay bashings aren't funny.

Personally I find the image hysterical and I'd wear it on a t-shirt in a second. But I'm sure some people would find it distasteful or offensive.

Not gonna lie, I lol'd when I saw the picture. If you bought it, you'd never find yourself picked on by homophobes.

I wouldn't complain, partly because political corretness these days drives me up the wall.

I would be offended if i saw someone wearing it... unless they were gay and it was really obviously intended to be ironic. I don't really find it funny in any case. But I think I'm oversensitive about things like that. I'm one of those people that get pretty offended when people say 'that's so gay' and stuff like that.

Imagine joking about jews and gas chambers on your t-shirt, or blacks and cross-burning. And since it's based on a tagline for a tractor company, you got the stereotypical redneck fagbashers too. So to me, it's quite offensive.

^ Pretty sure this is the demographic that is getting made fun of by this shirt, not gay people.
