for me, yeah. i been masturbating since i was 8 and in doing so, i used to masturbate to whatever turned me on. if i saw a girl with boobs, i masturbated to her. if i saw a guy with a rocking bod, i masturbated to him too. it was until i was 12 that i started to have a understanding what i was doing and i got scared. i had been aware of what homosexuality was and it had been brought up to me several times in different ways where a friend of mine that i lost contact with asked me if i was gay in the 4th grade. plus all these other things i was doing, it really got to me where i tried to correct myself and my behavior thinking it would go away. i stopped masturbating to guys for about 10 years. i tried to fight my arousal and urges to look at other guys and here i am, here with you guys, learning how to accept myself and that i'm not the straight guy that i desired to be and that i may be bisexual, gay or on the sexual orientation scale.

i'm happy to be back masturbating to guys though. now i have more in my arsenal other than women.

Yup. For a while, I convinced myself it was a physical thing. I didn't call it bisexuality though. Not at first at least. I figured my fantasies were just fantasies. It was just a weird thing I liked but would never do. Then when I had a girlfriend and I still did it (this didn't aid in my finding out I was gay, just for the record, we never even kissed) it occurred to me that straight people don't do that. I told myself I was bisexual and everything just made a little bit more sense. Stress I didn't know was there melted away a little and a bit of happiness showed up that I didn't know I didn't have. That's how I figured out I was interested in men. By my second boyfriend, I realized I was only interested in men.

If that includes porn habits, yes. At first I'd get somewhat aroused by semi-nude/nude guys, and that set off the chain reaction to finding out I was bi.

On fantasy, until I knew I was bi, guys never came into the equation. Bear in mind when I first started thinking about guys, I had only been masturbating for 9 months or so.

The first time I masturbated, it was either all thought based (and all about guys) or part-thought based (with encyclopedias providing artwork which helped my mind create fantasies). It was pretty obvious I was gay, even though I didn't accept it. Heh, I actually don't think I've ever seen straight porn, except by accident because someone at a gay porn website mislabeled something...

Yes actually, in fact right before I came out it became insanely impulsive. As in I'd masturbate 5, 6, or 7 times a day to it. The funny thing though is that as soon as I came out I, for the most part, stopped watching porn.

did you feel you had to do it to make yourself straight or to prove that you're not gay to be able to get off to women even though you weren't all that into them? i'm assuming that you were in denial.

me, man. i'll tell you for a fact that i actually not a fan of watching porn because i'm not all that attracted to the women and i happen to catch myself paying more attention to the guy than the girl. it was like my issues with my sexuality came up when i was watching the porn. i was scared that i might get turned on by the guy than the girl maybe because i knew that that was going to happen. it was like i was trying to correct myself. not all that into porn anyway.

Well it helped me to realize that I didn't "like" women the way I thought I did/wanted to, but I already knew that I was into guys.

let me prefece this by saying when I joined the internet in the mid-90's, if you mispelled one letter in a web address, you were likely to end up on a porn sight. it didnt matter at all that the web address you were trying to type had no sexual conotations, but it was commonplace to visit 4-5 porn sites without trying or wanting to. I also was coming to sexual maturity at the same time.

I found that I was repulsed by the pornsites that would popup with naked women. it just did not appeal me at all. I have never seen a reason why I should be attracted to breast or vaginas.

when a gay porn site would pop up, or even a straight porn site for women, cause they do exist, even if they are rare, I found that I was stimulated by the male form. I knew i was attracted to guys, but it was years before I made the connection of what gay was, and that I was gay.

I used to watch mostly hetero stuff, and almost never any lesbian porn. But I did watch gay porn and yaoi hentai, wich is actually one of the main reasons I started questioning myself in the first place.

I used to think while masturbating, guys were just supposed to think about girls (as likewise, guys were just supposed to like girls). Tried that; it only ever worked if there was another male present in the fantasy. At the time, I didn't think too much of it, but in retrospect, I think yeah, it was a help.

i can relate. for some reason, trying to place myself as the woman doing whatever whether it was stripping or the porn was more of a turn on for me than watching her do what she was doing.
