I too just recently saw it, after hearing about it for so long. It is a very good movie, with interesting plot.

You'll get no disagreement from me.

Did anyone who watches Grey's Anatomy see him guest star in the last month or so? He played the husband of one of the two brides who were engaged in this insane contest where the last one to be holding onto a wedding dress won a "dream wedding." He wasn't as cute as normal because he wasn't clean-shaven but oh well, you take what you can get. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Latter Days is one of my very favourite gay movies ever.

I loved Latter Days. Steve Sandvoss is incredibly gorgeous, and his character was so cute in the movie. I might have fallen in love with him, hahaha (which is really weird, because his character and I have the same first name.)

I thought the acting and the script were a little bit subpar, but I really liked the plot, and it was a romance that I could relate to.

I didn't much care for it as much as most. It was alright. I like that movie "Trick" a lot. Anyone heard of it or seen it? I relate to that one more.

Geez I don't know... at least 1 or 2 major releases a year, I would say, and lots of straight-to-DVD ones since that segment of the market took off. Lots of gay short films out there, and collections of short films, since short films are easier and cheaper to make.

It would also depend on what you classify as a "gay film."

Sadly, very little percentage-wise of the gay movies that get released in theatres or on DVD are actually all that good. I think we're still stuck in the "something is better than nothing" mode, which is understandable, given how few major studios give a wide release to any kind of gay-themed films.

Well I saw it on Logo, so other than just assuming they cut stuff out, there was some parts when it seemed obvious it wasn't quite right... I just wanna see the movie/DVD to make sure at least.

There's a thread about Latter Days in the entertainment section. One of the films that turned my life around (!), in a positive way.

Two good movies I just bought on DVD, "Tan Lines" and "Boy Culture" which is awesome, nice screenplay, good acting, happy end.

At least here in Germany, there are about 5-10 new releases a month on DVD.:eusa_clap

yup there is another thread about latter days in which I seem to remember me and joey just ranting on about how good it is and how hot steve sandvoss was. It's such a great story (which I thought would turn out to be utter cheesey before watching it) and sends you on an emotional rollercoaster of real gay love.

All good love stories are cheesy if you look at them in the wrong way (i.e. the cynical way).

But yeah have I mentioned it's awesome?
