What are the requirements for the paper? For reputable sources, the best place to look is on your school's library website, where you can search for academic articles in peer-reviewed journals.
You should look up the amicus briefs from the Proposition 8 trial. A ton of different very reputable organizations--the NAACP, Lambda Legal, the ACLU, SPLC, Congress's LGBT caucus and a ton more--all of them make a trillion different arguments, it would be a really good resource to use.
