Default One of the most homophobic things I've ever heard

I was on xbox with a few friends and we got into a lobby with other people and one kid called another one a fag and the kid who was called a fag responded with " Well I think all gays should die and be put in concentration camps.". He's lucky the game started and we were on different teams so we couldn't hear each other because I was seriously about to flip out on him.

I spend a lot of time in online gaming communities. Sometimes I'm not sure whether to take what I hear seriously or not. A lot of the blowing off of steam and talking tough is pretty clearly playful, but some of it...

This is why I don't play any multiplayer games, certainly some of the most disgusting rodents ever known reside there.

I hear so much crap on online games. I especially hate all the comments the guys say when they see my screen name, like "You're not really a girl, stop pretending" or "tits or gtfo" etc. I wish I could scream at them all, plenty of things come to mind that would make them feel very small and insignificant...

Depending on what is said to me I usually have something to say back to them and I usually end up winning the trash talking battles because someone always has something to say about me being a girl.

They're all teens with talk. That's all. Don't give them the satisfaction of an argument. They're probably more messed up in their own home and reaching out by causing trouble or something. It's extremely common on things like Xbox live.

Well as I said I can't talk back to them, so they're lucky in that sense. I just ignore them or mute them. But I really do wish I could speak my mind to them. Some of them don't sind like teens at all by their voice.

Best thing to do is to announce that you are gay after kicking their asses over and over again. Nothing gets them better

But I agree with everyone else. Never take personally what people online say. Specially on Xbox.

I've run into a lot of grown men who act like that. I don't understand why they think it's cool to say horrible things about people. It's actually quite pathetic.

Hence why the mute button is a wonderful invention

And yeah, not all of them are teens. That's the sad thing. Some are just stupid fucks, but hey, those will always exist.

I do sometimes because usually I get called all sorts of homophobic slurs so I've come to realize that usually backfires lol.

when i play multiplayer i dont use a headset, way to many youngsters and assholes. i just play the game and do it with respect. but anyway online gaming is notorious for anti gay insults, pretty much all straight guys in general talk like that, just not around gay guys usually. also he would just get a big laugh out of your anger, that's how online gaming society works. he was probably just being an asshole so if i where you i would try not to stress about it.

I don't say I'm gay or anything, they just say all these things because I have a girl's name on the game, and when they ask me to talk so they know I'm a girl it just annoys me. Why does that matter to them? And because I can't speak they just assume I'm a guy and that's where most the insults start. GRR! So angry just thinking about it.

The only reason I'll ever talk is when I'm playing with my friends. Other than that I don't use my headset at all. I've noticed that the better I play, the more insults come at me. I guess being obviously beat by a girl is something most guys' egos can't handle.

Getting upset about it gives a lot of people exactly the reaction they want.

It's understandable. People can get pretty acidic, but for some of them riling people up is actually the goal.

On the bright side, this story is the perfect opening for my speech on homophobia for my class lol
