    Or not, and Why?

Personally, I don't hate it, but I've never liked it much either, because it envolves horrible family members, celebrating a birth I don't believe in, and receiving gifts intended to remind me of my 'sex'.

On the other hand, it involves money. And iPhone 4s'es (this year anyway.)

I do like it but I feel that it would be better in some years when there are children in the family again. I don't know but I think that is one of the fun part of it. What I like most of this, is that there are food and a big dinner

I love it. Easily my favorite holiday. I love setting up the tree, listening to the music, the cooking, getting a break from school, and gifts

^Basically, this. Plus that magical feeling in the air that only comes once a year.

Let me tell you some things I don't like about Christmas.

    Rampant commercialism
    Certain holiday songs
The revival of "they're trying to kill Christmas!" debate
Getting a photo of my niece as a present from my sister-in-law (that's all she gets me, ever)
Some anxiety trying to figure out gifts for everybody
It being winter (me no like winter)

Despite that, I still find it a positive experience. Yeah, stores are crowded, but they generally seem to be upbeat pleasant crowds. But I love driving by decorated houses, and getting people gifts (sort of pleasantly indifferent towards receiving), and most of the music, and strings of colored lights around my desk.

Only good thing about this time of year are guys in sweaters and cooler weather

We don't celebrate it (my family), but I still get presents lol.
But Christmas is always the best day of the year, when all of your family members gather around. Full of happiness.

If I never received a single present I wouldn’t care- as long as you allowed me carols, the classic Christmas stories from the Nativity to the Christmas Carol, the tree, decorating, the lights, the food, the company...the feeling that is never duplicated at any other time (sadly). Give me that and that is all I will ask for Christmas.

Do I like Christmas? Absolutely not...

    I LOVE it.

    Merry Christmas EC <3

I hate the religious aspect but I love the lights and decorations especially the trees and lights. I also like some of the music and the magical feeling of winter. It is a beautiful season. I can do without the cold nights though.

I hate chirstmas time because A. I don't know about my faith anymore B. i'm so depressed right now. C. I'm going to be forced to spend time with my homophobic family D. i'm somewhat anti-social. E. the days are always dark here with the odd rain and snow which is depressing itself.

Yes, I certainly do! I try to keep the craziness that can happen during the holiday season to the bare minimum and simply enjoy the peace, beauty and light of this festive time--though a few presents are nice too...:icon_bigg

Yes, I like Christmas. I liked it a lot more when I was younger and more excited about it but for the most part I enjoy the time of year, the music, the traditions, being with family, and the gifts. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I love the season. It's always so upbeat, people are typically in great spirits, it's a once-a-year kind of feeling. And I get to be generous (altruistic behaviour FTW? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

But, I'm not really a fan of the way my family does it, at least not recently. It's not bad, I've just always wanted the big old holiday celebration, and it's never really happened before. Just the immediate family going over to my grandparents for a couple days, and because everyone's in the same space it gets tense, and because of that people spend a lot of time staying out of each others way (or together and fighting, you pick).

So, I love the season, and everything up until the actual holiday. But the holiday time itself could use a little tweaking.

    The things I hate are:

    1) Adverts. I FUCKING HATE Christmas adverts.
    2) The Cheesey songs.
    3) The horrible decorations. I hate tinsel.

Apart from those things, I love everything else.

    1) The Food and booze.
    2) The christmas telly.
    3) The presents.
    4) Family. (Well, kind of.)
