Default being in love, relationships, etc. just not ready for it.

don't know what it is but even if there was somebody that i wanted to be with, i just can't allow myself to let go and express my feelings without feeling nervous or being too scared in doing so. you know i don't want that person to feel like i don't like them or i don't want to be with them. it's that i've never been in love or been in a relationship before so i have no idea on what to do.

There's no secret instructional manual for it at all. Trust me, it just kinda hit me when I wasn't even looking for it. I'm experiencing my first time being in love, and it kinda brought forth a whole new range of emotions for me. Some of the things I used to criticize others for doing, I now find myself doing, smh.

It's okay not to be ready for it, but at least be open to the possibility of it.

^This

It's funny and sad that I can relate to, both, the above quote and needshelp(TC). Last year, I tried the whole feelings thing because I was 24 and was sick of the lonliness... the result was a crap ton of shits. I'm still recovering. It was an awesome experience though. Despite knowing that it was all me being delusional, I learned what that whole cheesy mess might feel like...and I only remember comfort before denials hit me like a brick to the face. I know I want it. I had a taste. Even though it was just in my head, it felt good.

What I'm saying is that when it happens, there is not much you can do to stop it. It'll change your entire belief system and you'll be doing a lot of changes to your list of priorities.

I've read some of your topics TC and you seem to be doing better with the acceptance! Cheers man!!!
