Do you have a genetically related family member who is LGB (No T, because it aint the same)? I just thought it would be a good way to try and see if there really is a correlation between genetic similarity and homosexuality. I realise this study isn't perfect, as a gay family member probably wouldn't have reproduced, but still worth doing if the gene is recessive.

    *thinks too much sometimes*

I don't have anyone in my family who is LGB.

I don't have any LGB family members that I know of. I don't know all of my family though.

Two of my sisters identify as bi. There are of course a few other family members I have suspicions about, but being that they're all on my mother's super conservative side of the family they wouldn't come out either way.

not that i know of but then again, i've had my suspicions with certain family members but being that they're not in america to begin with and neither is most of my family. it really wouldn't matter. i would pretty much still be alone stuck in a house with three other straight people.

Gayness runs in my family, but they won't admit it! I had a couple of great uncles who were probably gay...they were two old single men who my family NEVER talked about. (They were from a time and place where everyone got married and had lots of kids to work the farm.) My cousin is gay, but he denies it now. (I know men he's tried to have sex with.) And his son is gay. And of course, I'm gay, too.

My family is extremely large (my mother has 9 siblings [one died in his childhood, though] and my dad has 9 siblings [two of his sisters died, but they left behind children]), so it's going to be likely that there is someone other than me who is LGB. I only know of the ones on my mother's side since I don't have anything to do with my dad's side of the family, but my uncle's daughter is a lesbian and my aunt's husband has a gay son, and another son who is probably bisexual (he's married, but he's done things with guys before).

Not that I know of so far....but then again, the vast majority of my extended family lives in Asia which the conversation topic and knowledge of LGBT is pretty much non-existant.

My uncle is gay. Also, I believe my mom said her grandpa was gay (married for a long time, and finally told his wife etc).

That depends... How extended are we talking here? Because none of my immediate family and relatives (aunts, uncles, first cousins) are (I have roughly 120 of them -- BIG family), but if we're talkin' second-, third-cousins, etc... then... Yes, there are 2 others. Haha.

That is like seriously against the odds. If the odds are taken to be 10%.

Hmm. Maybe there are multiple causes or gayness or something. Like genetic or something else.

I always thought it was against the odds too. But my relatives are mostly grown up now, and no sign of queerness in anyone so far... LOL. And I tend to have an impeccable gaydar, so if there WAS someone, I think I'd know. I knew about a third-cousin of mine back when we were in junior high. She has since come out. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Anyway, I think it may have something to do with the fact that I come from a very Catholic, old-school French family. That may tip the scale a bit.

You actually know your third cousins??? I don't think i've ever met mine.

My gaydar is a pile of BS. Although I have had some success with they eye flick method. but I can't hope to figure my own family out.

Why is T not the same? :icon_sad:

Absolutely nobody in my family is gay. Or if they are they're hiding it pretty damn well. Kind of a bummer though.

To the best of my knowledge, no...they're all very religious so it is entirely possible that they just don't want to say anything.

I don't think i have anyone, not even a distant relative. i would of liked to have a gay family member, just so i could get advice and help.
