How many hours do you sleep on average?

I sleep between 7-9 hours. Which is more than double of what I should be sleeping lol. But, if I sleep less than that, the alarms don't wake me up, and since I live alone, no one wakes me up.

    Break: 9-12ish hours usually

I wonder if you can guess which one I like better...:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well, I've been having insomnia issues this past year or so, and even before then sucked at getting sleep...probably averaging about 2-3 hours per night for this past month

Typically seven to nine hours. I have been known to sleep upwards of 16 hours, though this is usually after having gone 36+ hours straight without sleep for international travel.

2-4 on weekdays. 8-12 on weekends (including Fridays). I tend to nap a lot during the day, though, so IDK if that counts...

7-9 hours during school times, and 8-10 hours during break times. Not a lot of variance, but sometimes I have a period of a few days (or even a week) where I only sleep for 5-6 hours a night.

6-7 usually. Normally go to bed between 1 and 2, and get up around 8:30. I used to sleep 10+ hours on the weekend, but I haven't had the chance much recently. Normally get 8 hours tops on the weekend now. I also usually take an hour nap most weekdays.

I naturally wake up around 9am so it depends on what time I got to sleep and whether I wake up naturally or set an alarm. Usually need at least 8.

I have just been waking up naturally (since I'm on holiday ) and almost always end up getting about 7.5 to 8 hours a day.

I actually have done some research on sleep and found out that everyone usually needs about 7-9 hours of sleep a day, including naps. The exact number varies from person to person. Mine is 8.5ish. Also, you can build up a sleep debt over time if you do not get enough sleep. Once your sleep debt gets to be around 50 hours your body will start to force itself to sleep (you will notice yourself falling asleep without your control). The larger your sleep debt is, the more likely it is that you will fall asleep at an inopportune time. In order to eliminate your sleep debt you will find yourself able to sleep for longer than the usual 7-9 hours that you need a day. Also, every minute of sleep counts towards your sleep debt, not just REM sleep. So even if you may feel more tired after a 15 minute nap, you actually helped reduce your sleep debt by a small amount.

I am not sure how insomnia works exactly though.

I'm lucky enough if I get 4 hours asleep a night, 5 tops.
