My instrumental music teacher, Sid, has been teaching me for six years, for my whole time at high school, that is. I want to show my appreciation by buying him something in the AU$70 - $100 range, but I have no idea what to get him. He does drink - a lot. But he has fine taste, and only drinks specific wines and spirits and I don't think alcohol's really going to do it lol. I don't want to make him something or put a LOT of effort into something either, because firstly, I really want to spend money on him and secondly, I'm planning to give him this gift on the 5th of January next year (8 days' time). Oh and did I mention he's gay, too? The idea of getting him something from Sexyland (a store that sells all things sexy) has crossed my mind, but I don't really want to get him something as a joke or anything, I want it to be more meaningful than that. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
At the end of the year, the seniors in my high school band always get our director gifts....heres some of the things he has gotten the past few years, but they might work better if you are doing it as a group: - 3 paintings of various instruments - picture of all the senior band members. Old snare drum with their signitures - a new suit jacket - picture frame with a broken drum stick and signitures
Ooo I like the idea of a painting. Actually, thanks, I think I might get a photo of the band he directs and have that printed on canvas. Oh yeah, I think he'd like that!
Hmm...I would give you 2 or 3 things... like... 1. A blow up doll or box of condoms- as a joke lol 2. Other country's alcohol like Sake(Japanese traditional alcohol) 3. A nice corkscrew:icon_wink :icon_wink
I would not give your band teacher anything sexual. I think that's bad taste and he could get the wrong idea. I like the idea of the picture or maybe scrapbook him an album of the events and things you've done.
