Since 2009 I had always dreamed about working at this company... Yesterday I went for my first ever interview and I was really really nervous- mainly because it was in English and English isn't my first language... BUT I just received a call... (!) I'm invited to a second (and final) interview next week. I really hope it goes well... I've had my eye on this grad program forever!
It does happen man. Years before I was an aspiring writer... now? One of the big studio VP's (at a major company - fox, disney, warner bros., paramount, dreamworks - one of those) is grooming me and interested in my pitches, he's fast awaiting me turning in my work this summer and the sample script he read - he said, if I had brought it to him sooner (due to having a similar project now) -- he would have bought it. One of the four pitches is very similar to the one he said he would have bought and this time -- more readily accessible plus a million times better, so ----- press junkets here I come (actually dreading that part, go figure lol) Plus, I come from small town suburbia - how'd this happen? KEY THING IS -- or what I'm trying to say is dreams come true. Hard work pays off man, you'll make it.
