Yup..yeah...and yes a thousand times over. I opened the door on something I left a long time ago..and I'm trying my best to close it.

 

Single, as I have been for the last 11 months! I don't see that changing anytime soon, though I'd like it to as I reckon I'm mature enough to handle a relationship with someone. I'm odder than most, y'see.

I hate to say "it's complicated," but I don't really know what to call it. I've been seeing a guy for a couple months now, but distance and preoccupation with studies are making it look like things have stagnated and are going nowhere.

Technically I'm in a "friends with benefits" situation with one of my close friends. We considered trying to make it work as a relationship, but he has a self-admitted history of making bad decisions when he gets involved with someone, so he's wary of risking it again. And I'm completely fine with us remaining that way. Problem is, we live far away and are both prohibitively busy, so it's very rare that we get to "cash in" on those benefits, so calling us "friends with benefits" is a bit of a grandiose term for what we have. Plus, it's not all that complicated, because we've talked openly and plainly about the terms of the "arrangement", if you will (when we hang out, if we're both single, we'll "have fun" together. Otherwise, no benefits; we just hang out as friends), so we know exactly where we stand in this whole thing. So while a "friends with benefits" situation might normally count as "it's complicated", I'd say it's more accurate to say I'm single.

I am a "friend maker", meaning I date people I like and we stop dating and we become friends.

Funny you mention that, because I have a first date this weekend.

 

Single? Yes. Chance of getting a guy? Considering I don't know any attractive gay guys, 0%. Chance of getting a girl? 10%, I've friend-zones most of the girls I know.

Right now, I'm trying my best not to give a fuck, but when I'm near my straight crush, it burns.
